Fury was my favourite out of the current crop of heavies. But I'm finding it harder and harder to root for him. His career was already to be destined as somewhat of a 'what could have been' type due to his time snorting lines and downing pints.

But he is also wasting the little time he does have left as a boxer with this ****. He should have way more top names on his record by now. I mean I'd favour him handily over the whytes and ruiz' of the boxing world, but we are probably never gonna have much proof that he could have beaten these guys because he will probably only have one more meaningful fight before he hangs em up.

Real shame, he gets overrated hard just as any boxer with a decent fanbase does, but he undeniably moves very well for such a big man, has great recuperative powers but can be tagged which makes some match ups exciting.

Mad to think that a few years back many of us were getting excited at the thought of there being 3 heavies that could all trouble each other in AJ, Fury and Wilder....and yet I wouldn't be surprised if Fury Wilder remains as the only matches between the 3 that we see.

    For shame boxing, for shame.

Diamond Boy looked sensational in his comeback fight. The long layoff obviously worked in his favour and gave his body a chance to heal properly from all the injuries.

FTY, he's a fresh 37 and 37 is one year younger than Fury's best win Wlad was, two younger than The Tuscaloser's best win Ortiz was, and 4 years younger than AJ's best win Wlad was when he fought him and Diamond Boy hasn't lost in six and a half years and the combined records of his last three opponents is 74-1.

I'd renounce the religion of Fury if he fought Charr.

    Become a Usyk refugee

It's not that big a step down now for Dave Allen being in the picture for a Fury fight.

Klitschko was 4 months off being 40 year, he wasnt 38...
Also Klitschko was 41 against AJ and gave him hell.
Any version before 37 will probably kill both of them.
Current division is full of *****... And Fury is the front runner!

Haye would be even worse than Charr.

Charr is absymal as a challenger though.

My bad I get my ages mixed up because so many of the best wins of the current generation of HWs (prior to Usyk) are around that 38-41 age range. Wlad, Povetkin, Ortiz, Pulev etc. I keep mistakenly thinking Wlad was 38 when he fought Fury but, as you say, he was 39 going on 40.

    Agreed.

He might as well stay at home with Joe P. and play tig on the campsite.

Great points! And let's not forget Charr didn't lose his title in the ring. A world champion stripped by the WBA due to out of the ring politics...remind you of anyone?

Arum knows what's up. Let's get this fight made!:boxing1:campeon:

Exactly. The powers that be have been out to get Diamond Boy from the get-go. They even tried to assassinate him in a kebab shop. Truth be told Diamond Boy is the real HW champion. A king without a crown, or rather The King, but a king nonetheless

No way Charr can escape the WBA Bermuda triangle. He's in the never ending WBA unification that lasts an unknown amount of years. Fees Oquendo has been stuck there as well for like a decade.

Charr likely isn't a top 25 heavyweight I can't imagine any reason for Fury to fight him.
