“I do have a little slight injury, but I prefer not to elaborate on it until after the fight. We’re going to get through this fight, we’re still going to make things shake and then we’ll go ahead and put it out there after it’s all said and done.”
Probably, watched all of Magsayo's fights that I can find in past few days and he's aggressive and can definitely punch. He's a bit of an unknown quantity, but I have seen improvements from early on to more recent fights. Magsayo KO is not out of the question, though I'd lean towards Gary UD. This is lose-lose for Gary because nobody knows how good Magsayo really is.
If you say you have an injury but you aren't going to talk about it pre-fight, then you don't talk about it after the fight either.
Actually refreshing to hear a fighter being honest rather than giving it the usual "This camp has been perfect" line that we hear time and time again. Every fighter carries niggles into fights.
He must have had a bad camp. Not too surprising given the situation with his father. I still think he'll win but, at 33, the clock is ticking. He really has wasted his career for the most part. Frustrating guy to follow (I eventually stopped).
Every fighter carries niggles - exactly. That’s why we don’t want to hear it. It just sounds like an excuse.
