Ali would frustrate AJ with his movements, maybe even more convincing than Usyk, but there is always a chance for a Lucky Punch from AJ...
This^ It's widely accepted that the old saying a good big 'un beats a good little 'un. However, not all big 'uns are good or great. Especially in a not so great era.
Ali was warned twice that he would die in the ring (versus Sonny Liston, and versus George Foreman; at an intarval of 10 years), and he as the winner twice. So it would be now. If AJ shows his helplessness agains Usyk, I don't see why it would be different against Ali. Which is why AJ would be such a favorite (Like Liston, and Foreman)?
Unless it was picture perfect Ali would absorb it and not go down. If it was picture perfect Ali would get up and still win the fight. It's really hard for me to believe that some people believe AJ could beat the version of Ali against Frazier III or any prior versions. Prime Ali would tear him to shreds.
Utter humiliation and stoppage. Ali would just beat the **** out of the hapless AJ. Joshua wouldn't lay a glove on him. Wouldn't last 5 rounds. Levels.
Not as much as in the past, but still way too many Ali worshipers here. He's become a myth to some. AJ outguns Ali in nearly every category. Bigger, stronger, and much harder hitting. Ali edges in speed and engine. However Ali was decked by little HW Frazier and hardly more than LtHW Cooper. Anything like that from AJ and Ali is not making the count. Ali's only chance is to run and try to eek out a close decision. If he takes risks he gets stopped or losses a UD. Ali is not competitive vs. 2000s era top HWs. Neither would Liston, Louis, Marciano, Dempsey, Johnson, Jeffires,...
Do you want Ali to loose 2 inches. Gain 60 pounds of fat, shorten his arms and transform him into a mexican for him to whoop Joshua's ass ?
