Agree, after hearing about GRJ having a possible injury, coupled with the long layoff, and coming off of two very close matches against King Tug and JoJo.I've changed my mind.... I think there might be an upset brewing. Magsayo is big, hits hard, is fast enough, has a decent jab when he wants to use it, and has Roach in his corner.
I’m on the fence and there are splinters abound. GRJ is more talented and SHOULD be taking this fairly comfortably but I’m not sure if his heart is in it - not a very technical analysis but motivation, determination etc matters. Not sure if I’ll change my prediction.
If GRJ has 70% left he wins this easily. Magsayo is skill-wise an absolute bum. He has power, size and pressure on his side though. If GRJ loses against him he should retire IMO. Could it happen? Of course. GRJ isn't really interested in boxing anymore so who knows...i'm still going with him.
Magsayo can seriously punch, but he's as sloppy as sloppy gets. Can't see even a rusty, injured Russell losing to him. Knockout is possible but I've never seen Russell hurt as a pro. Seen him tire from Loma, but Magsayo is no Loma.
