I was always concerned that Joshua would want a decent chunk of money to step aside if the backers in the Middle East are prepared to swallow that and it's acceptable to Joshua then it makes sense all round. It also makes sense for Usyk and Fury as there not getting younger although Usyk is older he's not put his body through the mill to any level that Fury has with weight gain and alcohol or drug abuse. Although I would still take any announcements with a pinch of salt until the fighters are actually in the ring as the last few years has shown us this several times now. I've said from the start it would make sense for Joshua to get his confidence back before the rematch and step aside as he wouldn't have enough time to make any significant adjustments in such a short time frame. There's also the issue with mandatories in the meantime this can also be a potential problem I suspect weak opposition for Fury as a stay busy fight but he needs to really focus on getting in shape as the Futy from the 3rd Wilder fight is not going to be good enough to beat Usyk.

God you guys are stupid. I guess you believe what you want to believe. Try reading the article from today where AJ says he never said he would take step aside money and that he wants to become a 3 time champion. Face it. Fury will have to fight Whyte or get stripped. Instead of trying to swerve Whyte, Fury and his team should take all that energy and put it into giving Whyte a decent % so they can make the fight. I guess you can't do that if your fighter wants to duck Whyte, just like Wilder did for all those years.
They can't even make Fury-Whyte, or Usyk-Joshua II, and they are going to jump to Usyk-Joshua. The fight is not happening any time soon, and I'm not convinced it ever will.
