In three consecutive fights over a year, Tyson Fury is matched against: * Byrd from the Tua fight * Toney from the Holyfield fight * Jones from the Ruiz fight. What would Fury's chances be of defeating all three of these men over the course of three fights, without a loss or draw?
From which fight Fury, the Cunningham fight, or Klitschko or the last one? Anyway I think Jones has good chances to win and possible Byrd too, particular of that in the third bout vs. Wilder (as he looked like past his best/ worse than in the second) or of the Wallin one. Though a lot is depending on the referee here (what he will allow; all fouls he do or would he look to obey the rules and be consequent when who doesn't do it).
I'm going against the grain here. I think he loses one over the three. He struggled against Cunningham before changing his tactics and getting rough. I'm basing of Fury in his last fight but even in the Vlad fight Fury just isn't that active in punch output. I can see him being outpointed by someone who is quicker with a higher level of activity.
P4p those guys were basically better than he was but with the sort of height and reach he’d have I think he’d be very hard for the them to score points against. Roy Jones in particular said that the reason he didn’t stick around at heavyweight was because he felt the guys frequenting the division were just too big. Mind you, this was even before Fury came around
He could hypothetically beat all 3. The issue is that Fury is sometimes bonkers and weird. He might pull out at the last minute due to "mental health issues", he might start acting like a diva demanding a higher percentage or a delay, he might get out of shape between fights drinking and pigging out on food. Anything could happen. If he somehow stays in shape, doesn't have an episode, and stays focused, it wouldn't be remotely outrageous to suggest he wins all 3 with no losses. He has size, skill, and x factors that would be a big problem for all of them. None of them could KO him and they'd have a very difficult time outboxing him.
I think one of them likely heats him. Smaller faster guys have given him problems in the past. The idea of him fighting 3 world class opponents in a year is pretty fat fetched though.
He beats all of them after looking silly in the early rounds - as each are far superior boxers. I've said this about Fury many times - he struggles with smaller, mobile, slick technical boxers. Here are some of my posts. Fury will beat all 3 of them due to his size, height, reach & physical strength. When things aren't going his way - he'll grab, smother & manhandle each guy to completely nullify their offense & zap them of their strength & stamina.
He'd beat them up all. Byrd's the only one with the credntials to even be considered a proper opponent for him.
Jones possible can stop Fury, as who has a questionable chin. Even for Byrd is it not necessary impossible to put him down, with a flurry (combination); he has won more than half of his fights by stoppage.
