    He wouldn't be though.

He'd just be upset that he still keep doing what he's doing. Greedy cnut.

i dont think he will turn it down to be honest. Only other fight where he makes more money would probably be Joshua on DAZN.

Probably just speaking to his chemists about when its safe to test again

I can honestly say I don't know the ins and outs of what has happened this time, but all along it has seemed to me that Whyte has his own agenda, quite separately from Eddie's, and not realistically likely to land the desirable outcome, that Hearn goes along with in spite of his better judgment.

It was the same as back in 2019, when Whyte refused the AJ fight.
But back then Hearn has plenty of alternative options, so Whyte's weird choices hardly frustrated him.

Now though, I think Hearn might be looking forward to washing his hands of Whyte.

Nah he would have thrown him under the bus already plus he knows AJ v Whyte will still be worth a few quid whatever happens.

Sorry for the last reply had a busy few days. Too be honest I don’t propose to be an expert. I’m not sure on the advice Whyte has had. My understanding is the arbitration was still in process. My guess would be His legal team advised him to proceed with WBC ruling to ensure he didn’t breach his responsibility. My guess is Whyte could still dig his heels in which is why nothing has been publicly accepted.

whyte can also argue he has no contract with Matchroom and therefore his own promoter didn’t bid. The purse bids were nothing to do with him.

Just a small rumour I heard not from anyone too close So take with a pinch of salt. Whyte case was being made mandatory, no franchise exceptions, set date, interim champ split at 45%. If fury vacated he is installed as full champ. And he wants compensation from the WBC as part of the arbitratio as if he was made mandatory in the first place after paying mental sanctioning fees he would potentially now be in a position for an undisputed fight for mega money. Citing the rocchigiani case against WBC. Whyte then planned if he one the belt to publicly trash the WBC..

whyte in the latest weeks got angry when finding out hearns planned offer as he wanted $8m minimum. Hearn guaranteed him $6.5m in his bid which whyte didn’t like and that’s the only way Hearn saw break even money in it but would guarantee him an extra $1m outside the deal. Whyte didn’t like it and used Ben Shalom to try to up the anti. Not realising he only had UK backing.
Ben Shalom has made a major play for dillian whyte post the fury fight.

Heard the fight is very likely to be dual BT and Sky and Fury did a deal at $25m plus upside To ensure the fight was a home fight

I certainly won't believe this fight is on until i see them both facing each other in the ring, and i blame that on Whyte

Don't get what hes playing at to be honest, yes he has the right to dictate what he believes he should be paid as he is the one in the ring taking punches and taking risks, but on the flipside of that no one forced you to be a boxer and either way you cut it it's a career best pay day for him so don't get all his f*****g about to be fair. Used to book Whyte as a game fella but he's showing signs that he isn't quite as game or has the desire he would like you to believe he has.

Cheers for taking the time to respond. Always interesting to hear the rumours.

The Shalom / Sky angle sounds very interesting. I think Frank knew exactly what he was doing when he shared that story on every interview he did in the last few days.

Makes sense that Whyte would look to increase the number of bids too. Wonder if it was a tactic agreed in cahoots with Hearn - get Sky on side to spook their partner Top Rank out - or Whyte actually looking to use his freelance status going forward? Guess we'll never know, but I'm sure we'll get to hear Hearn's response soon.

Yeah Whyte will still be worth a few quid. The problem is he thinks he's worth more than that.

I can see Whyte being kept around for another fight with AJ though, as long as AJ doesn't get beat too badly in his next fight.

Agree with everything said in the post above.

Dillian is a fat useless plodder who nearly swings himself off balance throwing a punch, he should not even be in the conversation for multi million pound pay days based on his ability.

I don't understand why him not taking this fight could even be a consideration (for him). He has no other chance of fighting for a title and no chance of earning this much from any other fight. He should be celebrating right now surely....this is probably 4-5 x his biggest pay day so far.

A potential AJ fight with no belt on the line, multiple loses for both, and AJ inevitably coming off a second beating by Usyk and his stock at at a low point will not generate what this fight does. It's also a much harder sell as the first fight was nearly 7 years ago! The result was so conclusive. Hard to sell a re-match when one fighter got beaten to a pulp round after round. There is no intrigue in that fight for me, no reason to suspect anything different happens if they were to meet again.

'Its 1-1 koogs, bad blood, unfinished business, last chance saloon, hate each other, AJ is a new fighter, its a war'

It will sell, Hearn can easily make a good few quid off this whether there is a belt or not

I think Dillian Whyte will enter into a partnership agreement with Boxxer / Sky Sports after the Tyson Fury fight (if completed).

It's career suicide if Whyte doesn't take this fight. No promoter out there will work with him.

Absolutely. It's madness, he's got a world title fight for the WBC belt, has got a guaranteed 5.9 million GBP, plus a potential win bonus of 2.9 GBP he should be on top of the world and giving interviews on every boxing platform talking up his chances and the fight as soon as he can.

Instead he's hiding behind lawyers, staying silent, no doubt locked away in Portugal where he does all his 'warm weather training'.

If he runs away from this whatever excuse he comes out with his reputation will be finished, the whole thing is just absurd.
