Who are all these skilled current era technicians that would make Walcott, Charles, Schmeling, etc look primitive and ridiculous?

Outside of Usyk, the list becomes increasingly paper thin. Fury and Ortiz are the only ones remotely close in overall ring IQ. Then it becomes downright embarrassing when you know guys like Arreola, Martin, Stiverne, Chisora, and Price have legitimately hovered in the top 10 rankings in very recent years.

By all means, convince people this current crop of heavies would make the most skilled fighters Louis dealt with look like outdated cavemen. I'd love to hear the argument. And do it without mentioning height or weight since most guys in the current era are close to the same size (there's rarely more than 10 lbs or more than 2' in height between opponents.

He will convince moneytheman and White Bomber. Sometimes I wonder if all these trolls are the same person...

I think he's better than them to be honest. At least more consistent than Farr and more proven than Nova.

I think Billy Conn could beat a majority of the current crop of top ten guys.

Ortiz himself trained back in the 1930s, so he doesn't count :D

My point exactly lol. A chunky 40 year old with high blood pressure is easily top 5 in terms of ring IQ and skill.

He has always been an outstanding contender and without Wlad one wonders how long he might've reigned for.

They may not be the same person, but they parrot and repeat the exact same arguments over and over without any actual break down demonstrating they have a shred of understanding of the sport. I've seen the same exact posts almost word for word on multiple other forums, chats, and comment sections.

It's almost like someone held a board meeting to discuss their agenda and coached them on how to push it. Money does occasionally say something beyond a cringe one liner dismissing anyone pre 70's, but his break downs are so biased and off the mark they're not even worth responding to.

I don't even consider Fury a wonder to be honest scale him down and then how impressive does he look? he gets by on the grace of his God given psychical gifts and decent not great boxing credentials HW is the division for "Big and dumb" more often then not. As said if those two bellow Usyk are the the peak where does that see this era in terms of quantifiable "skill"? the diminish in terms of talent really is obvious when you stop thinking about it in terms of size and look at what Marciano, Ezzard, Archie, Walcott, Louis and Conn did in the ring.

A dangerous call, given some of the weight differences, but not implausible.

I shouldn't say majority. I'd need more time to contemplate that.

However today he would be the best boxer we have regardless of weight and be P4P king!

Given the dependency most people have on the "eye test" you'd think Louis's stock would rise...
