JOSEPH PARKER vs JOE JOYCE in MAY - Talks Ongoing

Parker sometimes seems too friendly and laid back so he might not fight aggressively against a nice guy like Joyce.

 

Rumour is not only is Joyce training he has started throwing punches which are expected to land in round one!

 

Even matchup.

I'll be rooting for Joyce, who is the harder puncher and is very durable, to beat Parker, who has a better defense and footwork.

 

Parker would have to work to the body early to slow Joyce down, as Jennings did which had success, which Joyce struggled to come back from despite grinding out a win. Dubois didn't vary up his work despite the success he had up top, which allowed Joyce to get a rhythm going as his superior fitness took over and began to overwhelm Dubois with his jab. The uppercut to the body worked a treat against Chisora, and I feel that if the fight gets made against Joyce, that shot will be key.

Fascinating matchup tbh where its hard to pick a winner.

 

I can see parker winning most of the rounds but joyce getting to him late and tko him

 

Parker for a little while wasn't doing much, glad to see his career is picking up steam and he is willing to fight other contenders. This would be an interesting fight to watch.

Two good guys, and the winner will be a very legit #1 contender.

 

Solid matchup. Will be interesting to see how Joyce handles Parkers fast combos and how Parker handles Joyces jab and pressure. Should be a good one. Hope they make it.

Joe P does a lot of things better but Juggers will throw everything he has at this.

Parker by UD. I think he can knock Joyce down too. Lack of head movement won't be an option against Parker who has been breaking ribs in sparring.

Seems weird to turn down the Hrgovic eliminator but fight Joyce instead.

 

Good fight if it happens. I think it will be competitive but Joyce will take over in the 2nd half of the fight to win a decision.

 

Plus I would say Joyce is the tougher fight for Parker so he's not only chosen the bigger payday but the tougher more proven opponent. Can't ever say Parker shy's awake from a tough fight if this fight happens.
