In the first 4 rounds he looked better than he’s ever looked before and looked like Roy Jones was finally turning him into a better fighter. But then he got lazy and cocky and let Williams come back into it. Fair play to him for getting the win in the ‘Lion’s Den’ but he still gets battered at world level

Agree with what you said. I think Williams was not great and eubank didn't need to do much to win. If he had stood and traded like he has in the past he probably would have stopped Williams but seems like he didn't go for it and was happy to just see it out.

He is what he is and will never be anywhere near the level of his father.

No quit in the man, he is entertaining in and out of the ring and we will be flogged a PPV soon by Sly Sports

Personally I preferred his old style. High output, occasionally planting his feet and digging the shots in, and finishing his opponent with volume.

Having said that, I think most would be impressed if told beforehand that he’d win so decisively on the scorecards, but after 3 early knockdowns, not finishing the fight is always going to seem a disappointment.

He just completely took the p1ss

Should’ve put his foot down and got the job done in 3 rounds but just clowned around

Some will say he’s talking **** in that after fight interview but I genuinely think he’s telling the truth. He was showboating numerous times, winding the crowd up….. We’ve seen how aggressive he can be when he wants e.g. Degale, Blackwell, Spike, that last round against Groves etc and he didn’t even attempt to go forward he was happy doing what he was doing

His antics got very annoying as the fight went on. Didn't believe a word that he said in his post fight interview. He just couldn't get rid of him.

Yea I agree his old style is what made him stand out. He looked pretty ordinary to me tonight.

The haters are furious tonight. This was a 50 50 fight and Eubank won clearly.

Wasn't impressed at all. He seems to have regressed under RJJ.

We can't even assess the power as those knockdowns were more because of Williams' dodgy whiskers.

Agree with kermit...he was better before roy jones. That being said a lot of positives to take away tonight for him.

But he,d have battered williams with his old style. He,ll never have the accuracy to be a great boxer or a pot shoter. He was always strong...punched hard and pretty relentless when he wanted to be before. With the new style....he ends up frustrating himself because he misses so much.

Tbf a good overall performance....and roys done decent enough with him...but you just cant really make eubank junior a great boxer. We,re on the right path making him strong and throwing a lot of punches. Just came up against 2 guys with good footwork in billy joe and groves.

Groves and billy joe would beat this version of eubank better imo.

Williams was apparently still 14lbs over the middleweight limit on Tuesday. Very poor from Adam Booth.

    As for Eubank… Meh!!!
