I think he could've got the stoppage if he went for it after the knock downs but I think he then thought I can drag this out a bit longer and stop him when I want to but he waited too long and Williams recovered and he couldn't stop him.

I thought he was poor. If these Williams weight drained rumours are true, and they looked true in those early rounds, then that shits on Jrs performance. He simply would not have won without the knockdowns, and in between them happening he lost the majority of the rounds simply by doing nothing.

Against a top tier middleweight, he doesn’t get away with it. Muiniga, Dereveychenko and Sulecki all give him hell.

Can "weight drained" really be an excuse though? He's a former light middle and now doesn't have to squeeze an extra 6 pounds out of himself before fight night.

I think it was more of a case that he was too revved up and couldn't wait to lay his hands on Eubank after the build up + getting caught cold early with a shot he completely walked onto.

Its hard to say. You just can’t really judge that performance as it won as quick as it started.
He weren’t great but he didn’t have to be, it was won so early.

One thing for sure is Liam Williams doesn’t belong at world level so can we please calm down all that hype.

Still difficult to judge his level and he's thirty or so now. He's been flattering to deceive his whole career so at what point do you say he's not got it? A good sub world level fighter is what he most likely is, no more.

Flattered to deceive. Don't see him winning a world title, although the middleweight division is weak at the moment.

Theirs a big gulf between Liam Williams and world level. I like Williams but he's British level, I'd pick Felix Cash over Williams tbh.

Running around doesn't mean you're a good boxer.

He should have gone to a proper gym instead of trying to become an RJJ clone.

I had hope for him but I'm feeling like naz after the groves fight.

I'ld be tempted to pick Cash over Eubank:)

Think hes boxing at the expense of his very good assets that he had. Always thought eubank junior wasnt far away from being a good fighter but the groves defeat derailed him. When the truth is groves was too heavy for him and footwork was too good. To beat the first version of eubank you needed to have good feet which billy joe and groves did. They we,re just bad match ups for him.

Eubank for me was a dangerous opponent if you couldnt offset him. Looking at the new version of eubank tho....more styles will beat him. He,s not training relentlessly....his engines not the same...his strength/power etc...also not the same. All the things that made him decent. Just needed refining instead of a new version.

I reckon eubank could be a pretty big puncher just needed someone to show him how to deliver it without revealing that its coming. Think he wiped out the turkish guy.

I would agree that it seems unlikely, I’ve just read a fair bit since that he was well over on fight week but who knows. Getting caught cold would also make sense though after 4 rounds I would have thought him warmed up by then.

He’s called out Macklin. Not sure what his aim is here. The guy is deluded.
