Strange fight this. Jacobs seems to have hit a wall and maybe age related without achieving as much as I thought he might at one stage. Ryder looked quality at times VS Smith but I actually had loosing that fight as he was constantly getting hit with the jab. I think he might give Jacobs a scare early on but i'd expect Jacobs to get the win.
Apart from this forum and an IFL interview I would have had no idea Jacobs v Ryder was happening! I did wonder if Matchroom were wise in ditching the Sky marketing machine? This should be a decent fight but doesn’t seem to have been sold properly.
I hope Ryder is picking up a decent purse for this. Hearn has kind of sold him down the river since the Smith fight.
Its all about the numbers Koogz Hearn would rather go all in on Conor Benn because he may get a few PPVs out of him because of his dad rather than The Gorilla who only hardcore's really appreciate
Maybe you're right. There are many rumors going around that Jacobs wants out of the contract with Matchroom and that he does not care about the fight on Saturday and if that is true then Ryder has a great chance to win.
DAZN promotion already showing its weaknesses with absolutely no Main Stream TV coverage. Eubank / Williams was all over Sky Sports for two weeks and its no coincidence that it announced great viewing figures.
Not a bad scrap this, sadly the only thing this card has going for it. Think Ryder could get the job done here.
I would have thought Jacobs wins comfortably, but then I was thinking a 35 year old Jacobs? 33 year old Ryder? Not so sure, I'm actually intrigued, not a bad fight IMO.
I don't care if it's years after it was originally mooted anyone else still like the idea of Ryder-Lemieux?
I'm favouring ryder for this fight, Jacobs looks about 50, and I'm being kind. His best days are long gone, and let's be honest. It's rare British judges score against their fighters, so by that logic, Jacobs would really need to dominate ryder, which I just don't see happening
Matchroom cards are out of sight out of mind these days for the general public who are not Matchroom FC members.
Cash vs Madiev might be a good fight on the undercard Madiev is possibly Cash's best opponent so far. He was a quality amateur - world youth championships silver medalist ( losing only to oleksandr khyzhniak in the final) Nice highlight reel KO here This content is protected
