If you can pick 21 yo Floyd to beat Big George I think you also reason a good chance for 37 yo Floyd to do same (in this frame, making him only 8 years Foreman’s junior ). Of course we lose the crux of the title being on the line and perhaps the greater susceptibility of young Floyd who upheld his worth even better after losing the title.
Why not Langford from 1923 (with one eye blind) agaisnt Tyson 20 years old? Such handicap-matches makes no sense and are a disgrace.
I don't believe (Going off memory) Patterson ever weighing more than two hundred pounds in any fight. He would be at a tremendous size and strength disadvantage against 45 yr old Foreman. Moorer was over 220 when he fought Foreman plus was a southpaw. Foreman was still able to manhandle him when they got close. Same with Holyfield who was known for his strength and physicality. Holyfield was 210 pounds. This fight would be like walking thru a minefield for Patterson. One misstep , one slip of concentration and "Boom". Over. Patterson possibly could stay out of range for the duration a fight , but it's highly unlikely. Foreman would eventually track Patterson down and ko him. Even the 45 yr old version.
It's not an handicap when the 45 Year old has just flattened the lineal heavyweight champion of the world!!!
It is a stupid match up, just! It makes only sense if both are at their best or similar stages of their career. 57 years old Holyfield might lose against 24 years old Schulz...
