In all honesty I wouldn't like to see the 3rd ggg fight...they've had 2 great fights already..the second especially...I had him winning both....but if they had a 3rd I think canelo would wipe floor with him now ...he's 40 lol Bivol though...he's a good fighter..technicallly great obviously...but so lazy...it's like after a round or 2 he's bored and goes through the motions...never gets out of first gear..never turns on his style...hoping of he does fight Alvarez he shows everything he's got...but I'm not impressed
"omg ggg is 40"... yeah but you dont see charlo or andrade lining up for a fight against him. Apparently a 40yo ggg is still scary enough for the others to duck, but when Canelo decides to fight him hes cherrypicking. okay... "bivol aint that good and doesnt fight anyone"... umm but yall seem to love joe smith (aka bivol's b*tch). Absolutely wiped the floor with a elgit champ at 175. Theres also a reason him and beterbiev havent fought, to that i dunno but they aint exactly lining up for each other. Then now that he decides to fight the lb for lb king... "welp bivol aint ****"... Damn this haters convention. Bivol and GGG are more tested and are more proven than Charlo/benevidez/andrade. Bivol is in his prime so i dont get the hate. I understand the GGG age, and i actually agree partly. But this is better than makabu, and just short of a beterbiev fight. If he decided to take on joe smith, then id be mad but these are legit fights if these actually happen.
Id like to think that GGG wouldn't want to lose to Canelo In his possibly last ever fight. Be nice to see him come out and chase Canelo all night and beat him to a bulp (Or lose on points trying) No way does GGG get knocked out by Canelo. No way.
So only those 2 fights this year then? Props to Canelo if they get made. GGG in May and Bivol in September. Beterbiev needs to keep fighting and stay sharp if doesn't get Canelo in 2022. I'd like to see him fight Joe Smith and another good fighter next.
Good stuff. Much better than fighting Makabu. Interesting to see if they'll introduce DAZN PPV with these fights, or at least with GGG bout.
Or... how about Bivol hasn't had a KO victory in 4 years, got badly rocked by both Joe Smith Jr. and Jean Pascal, and has looked beyond average in his last 3 matches perhaps? I've been down on Bivol since the Pascal and Chilemba matches, long before he was even mentioned as a possible Canelo opponent. I can't speak for others, but I'm pretty sure most of them haven't been all that thrilled from what they've seen out of him recently either. When the Canelo fight started being discussed, I without hesitation picked Canelo to KO him, because I genuinely don't see him as much of a threat.
Bivol will not be donw with one punch like Plant. Do you expect him to get bullied and endure a sustained beatdown? I am not sure about Bivol because he in his recent fights he has been content to win rounds in the first gear, leading me to wonder if he has more gears at all?
I think hes so much better than the guys he fights that he doesnt need to go up another gear. Thats not really a testament to bivol's talent but more on the level of competition he faces. The joe smith fight is the only example of him against a "good" opponent, and that was a near shut out and he only used like 2 gears. So the talent is there, i just dont think he gets pushed enough or often.
You've got to be real baffoon to take word about Canelo at face value. Like it's real low intelligence stuff, especially not even acknowledging Canelo's obvious cherrypicking, fight fixing, nd cardstacking. "Canelo vs Bivol".. Given trends I think we all know if the "fight" takes place, Bivol stands no chance against the ginger circus act for the above obvious reasons. Basically, you're naive cuck
Ggg vs canelo will still be a burner. Ggg will get robbed again, cause let's be honest, canelo and ggg won't get knocked out. It will be a classic again and ggg will win a very close fight on the unofficial scorecards but get jobbed like always on the official scorecards
