Nonito Donaire? I really like the guy but at that weight and at his age showing up with an empty tank is always looming against quick young fighters. I'm not really saying he's finished just that he fits the profile of when it occurs.
Donaire has looked ACES since he dropped back down to 118 where he can make weight and have a big size advantage against division opponents. It's been highlight reel KO after highlight reel KO since he dropped back down. He's still insanely durable, chin hasn't slipped, and he's lost just a touch of speed. But he's far more patient and mature about going about his business in the ring now. He's no longer throwing his left hook and relying on his power and falling all over the ring. Frankly, this calculating version of Donaire might be the most dangerous one we've seen.
That maybe true, that doesn't make 'level B fighters' elite in any way. When Wilder stepped up (Fury), he was beaten comfortably.
