Correct me if I'm wrong but this isn't about Whyte not taking the fight, but his refusal to participate in the promotions due to how lousy a split he's got. Not sure what that translates to in concrete terms, but I have some sympathy for him here.
Whyte should take what he can on the way up. If he wins he strengthens his position and can fight for more money more regularly.
Whytes a rotten apple, potentially an 11m payday to not promote the fight. I hope he doesn't promote it, gets splattered all over the canvas, and no decent promoter ever goes near him again incase he stinks the joint out again.
Fury has signed the contract and the WBC have the deposit. You can hate on Fury all you want, but it's clear there is only one party holding this up now.
It doesn't matter in the eyes of the Whyte defenders, for some reason they think he should be getting a 50/50 split on this fight as a minimum to even consider it. Oh yeah and he doesn't need to promote the fight either.
So if I don't trust Fury and his team because they have history of many many lies, I suddenly hate on him ? Why are his fans so sensitive and defensive ? What makes you wanna defend that kind of the person who don't even care about his words ?
this is just so boring. why do the big HW fights take so long to get made. fed up with it. it's destroying the sport.
If Whyte is actually going to be keeping his big, dumb mouth shut for once, it's because he knows his chickens are about to come home to roost. They call it 'squeaky bum time' over here. Fifty minutes is too long for this post to have to wait for some appreciation, but have a 'Like'.
He is getting a lot of money, more than he's ever made in a single fight. If he doesn't take the fight, he may as well retire because he will not get more money or a title shot elsewhere.
No reason to think he won’t take the fight but it’s not his job to jump to the tune of Arum, Fury and Warren either.
Whyte is getting BY FAR his biggest purse ever, while Fury is only making a similar amount of money to what he made in his previous fight… If the split is favourable to anyone, it’s favourable to Whyte.
