Im hoping Ugas pulls off the upset because Spence is a nightmare style for Ennis. Ugas would be a more winnable fight.

Also very disappointed Ennis isn't fighting real competition like Vergil Ortiz

Decent opponent, but it's a side step, not a step up.

I think everyone wants to see Ennis fight better fighters given his talent.

Always knew it was coming but just glad we finally got some word on the fight, it went quiet on the eliminator front for a while at welterweight there. Thanks for filling us in as usual Chuck.

    War Custio!

Ennis is legit, but he hasn't really had to face a slick boxer yet, and Clayton fits the bill. I like Boots, but Clayton's from my neck of the woods, so I'll be rooting for him.

    Ennis by KO.

Once he becomes the mandatory for the winner of Spence vs Ugas... well Spence will be the winner i hope he doesnt move up and avoid Boots.

Yeah, but a win can put him up against Spence or Ugas. Either of those fights is a step up.

Best vs the best. No exceptions.

I never said i had a problem with Spence vs Ennis though. It would be entertainingly dangerous game of chess. just certain Spence would win and Ennis is one of my favorite fighters. It would be hard to see him lose.

Regardless if Spence beats Ugas I'd like to see the fight. It would be Ennis's first top opponent

Ennis by one-sided beatdown ending in Clayton being KTFO. This is a poor opponent for Ennis and this fight should not be an eliminator because of it.

So , Spence either has to unify with Crawford or fight Ennis…

id bet my bottom dollar he won’t do either of these things.

    He’s going to 154

Spence wasn't a nightmare style for the 5'5 1/2 Porter. What makes him so much of a nightmare for Ennis? If anything, Ennis is a nightmare style match up for Spence. Spence is too straight up and down, one dimensional. Ennis, and Crawford would give Spence major issues.

Ennis will struggle with the pressure and bodywork guaranteed. I saw it in spots against lipinets and when Ennis slugs it out he gets hit more than Spence

One of the few guys who could punch a bit that fought back against Spence, had Spence hurt a couple times. If washed up Brook is touching Spence up. What do you think Ennis will do to sleepy when his shots start connecting?

Not sure who else y'all expect Ennis to fight. With the champs and other contenders signed up for fights.
Benn was next ranked contender and there is no way Eddie puts him in with Boots.
Custio was the next in line.

I like Clayton but in a red hot division filled with talent, he is only so-so. I thought he probably edged Lipinets on less than 2 weeks notice.

With a full camp he will probably give Ennis some quality rounds before succumbing eventually.
