No, he didn`t have the movement and was easier to hit than Tyson, it would have been like the Foreman fight.
maybe. However, one thing...Norton was not afraid...many others were. Tyson had a lot of attributes. Everyone told me Holyfield had no chance. I told them Holyfield would win. They are two totally different fighters, yes. One thing they had in common was toughness. Tyson had a problem with fighters that were willing to fight back. Norton had that. We will never know but I still put my money on Norton.
Tyson KO 1-2. If Norton survives the 1st, he won't in the 2nd. Tyson is too fast, explosive, hard-hitting & skilled for Norton (who had average speed, power & a suspect chin) to have any chance of victory.
Norton really struggled against the big punchers. Norton would get hit very early and very hard and would be unable to recover. No amount of Napoleon Hill books would change that. Tyson inside 3 rounds.
Tyson was a bully. He has always had a weak bully's mentality. Norton beat Ali. He would find beating Tyson ....easier.
Tyson was a bully who intimidated his opponents to the point where they were terrified before they set foot in the ring. A bit like... ... George Foreman.
Foreman...was much tougher mentally than Tyson. The odds for Douglas to win by ko over Tyson were what ....40 to 1...or something like that. Should have never happened. Intangibles change boxing outcomes ...and world events also. If Norton had never fought Ali and the question posed to this forum was which would win in an imaginary match up...it would be overwhelming in favor of Ali. Foreman would have left a greasy spot in the ring which would have the remains of Tyson. If Norton could get past the first 3 or 4 rounds...each round would favor him. just an opinion.
