Its not okay to call boxers Tomato cans or bums

    we can’t even run 10 seconds without drinking water and we call someone professional boxer bum or tomato can

    If you are saying they deserve more respect than that you are probably right. That being said, we aren't comparing professional boxers to us, we are comparing them to other professional boxers.

    So some palooka doesn't train a lick and shows up to get knocked out and collect a paycheck and boxing fans aren't allowed to criticize this?

    I agree….. any man or woman who enters a ring or octagon to earn a living deserves respect. Even if they enter as an amateur it still takes an enormous amount of guts.

    These guys are doing it for money. Its not something they are force to do. Cans and bum exist cause of this and rightfully called cans and bum.

    By this logic we should not call politicians any names because we may not even get 1000 votes if we stood for an election. We are comparing professional boxers with the best ones out there. Every sport or game has some term for those players who fail repeatedly. Tennis calls them mugs or clowns, chess calls them patzers and in boxing we have the term 'tomato can' or 'bum'.

    The worst thing is alot of journey man who are as tough as nails, could be earning alot more elsewhere then having their brains rattled everyweek.
