Who guarantees that Makhmudov would win at all? Wilder is more proven and this would be a difficult fight to predict...
If that fight happened tomorrow, it is not at all certain that Wilder would lose. But as time goes on, Wilder gets older, so Makhmudov would be a growing favorite. P.S. Wilder has, I hope, learned something from fighting Tyson Fury.
We cant be sure of what Wilders chin is like after getting beaten down by Fury twice. He may go in with Makhmudov and get Chinned with a pawing jab for all we know at this point.
If Wilder gets KOd spectacularly it would make me re-evaluate how good Fury is. I think Fury is half-assed these days and someone like a focused Makhmudov could chin him.
Makhmudov could potentially chin anyone not named Usyk. I'd need to see more of how he performs at a higher level before I'd pick him against Fury though.
Makhmudov is hittable. That's a bad thing to be against Wilder. As limited as Wilder is, he knocks Makhmudov out cold.
Wilder is also hittable. That's a bad thing to be against the Mak Man. And this thread is about how long Wilder lasts, not whether he wins or not (lol).
If you can't get on top of Wilder and crush him quickly he will knock you out. It's really that simple Only the small agile Usyk can maybe evade him pitter patting for 12 rounds. I'm not sure how much Usyk has left to be able to pull off that kind of defensive boxing these days. He isn't the young whipper snapper anymore like people seem to think.
I don't know who this lummox is or the chumps he is knocking out. Wilder has proven his death touch so that's all I have to benchmark.
