The context obviously wouldn’t matter if Fury was in Whyte’s shoes though!

Because he's presumably got a future as a fighter and, more importantly, manages other fighters. Annoying QB, TR, ESPN, BT and the WBC is not a wise move.

Who is going to do business with him if takes it and refuses to promote it. People end up in the East River for that kind of behaviour.

It's almost March and not one of Fury, Whyte, AJ and Usyk have even announced fights FFS.

Possibly the matchroom tactic is to delay long enough until both Fury and Usyk are pensioners.
Beating up geriatrics is Whyte and Femi’s bread and butter.

There's a press conference tomorrow on ESPN.
Seems like it's on... seems like the Sun again tried to shine where it doesn't, and turned up full of s__t!

Any sort of a chance to what? Fury, in my opinion is levels above whyte & I can't see how purse bids influence that?

In theory i suppose if Eddie won the purse bid he'd start stacking the deck against Fury.

Favourable judges, pushing the fight back to like July or something. Sticking it in the O2 or somewhere Whyte is comfortable fighting (not Eddie's back garden!).

He's 34 with not many miles on the clock left. More people are talking about will he or won't he sign the contract than if he signed it weeks ago. If he signs it seems he's pissed the other side off in delaying it. I don't see why he should like Frank or bobs pockets if feels he's entitled to a bigger spilt.

Yes, I was referring to the main press conferences, which he must and should attend.

If there is a press conference tour of sorts, it's true that a fighter is usually not legally (contractually) obligated to attend all parts of it, but in reality such clauses don't exist most times because 99% of fighters would want to promote their own fight and it's a given in the industry that both boxers will be there.

It's bonkers not to attend a press tour as big as this one could be since boxing is not a team sport, there are no real tribal alliances so it's a golden opportunity for Dillian really.

If he is in a key part of his camp, fair enough for e.g. if he flown other fighters in for sparing and it's time specific and is really hard to work around that's understandable but I think he is being awkward and and difficult on purpose which is a shame as it does not benefit him in the long run.
