I met Oliver McCall a couple times. He was an intimidating dude. I posted this before. But I remember when McCall fought Saleta and Rahman fought Barrett in Chicago, there was a open workout for the media. Rahman did his thing. Then he was sitting outside the ring taking questions and joking around. And McCall walked past him and got in the ring. And Rahman, who was very cocky and glib before that, made a face like (yikes) as Oliver walked in front of him. Then McCall started working out in the ring and Rahman kept sitting there joking around, and McCall or his trainer got pissed off nobody was watching Oliver and barked at us and Rahman got out of there quick.

McCall and Rahman were the only two guys who ever beat Lennox Lewis (who I hold in very high regard). Both did it with one punch. At the time, I wondered who might win if McCall and Rahman fought. And, in that moment, I saw even Rahman was kind of intimidated by McCall. There was one attitude going on when it was just the reporters with Rahman. When Oliver showed up, Rahman, you could tell, didn't want to step on his toes AT ALL.

And what's funny about that is Rahman was the main event headliner. McCall was a late sub who was brought in on like a few days notice (because Golota suffered a cut). Oliver's fight was buried on the undercard.

What main event fighter (especially Rahman, who was a HUGE SMACKTALKER at that time) joking with reporters after a workout lets an undercard fighter tell him to get lost? But Rahman backed way off. And before McCall got there, Rahman was acting like the big star, which he was on that card.

So, trust me, I could see McCall catching him. When he was focused, he had that crazy prison guy attitude people sort of steered clear from.

Crawfords win over Porter alone is better than anyone Taylor beat. His win over postol is better than Taylor's win over him as well.

I'm a prograis fan he fights out of Houston my hometown but I tell it like it is. His resume is pure garbage. I don't think he's as skilled as Porter. You act as if prograis is some p4p talent with sublime boxing ability I have news for you he's not. He runs hot and cold and has alot of flaws. I don't see him making any noise at 147 guys like Spence Crawford Ortiz jr ennis and the EE fighters there all would beat him or give him hell.

If you blow up the best super flyweights and bantamweights rn or shrink all the bigger fighters, the likes of estrada, inoue, chocolatito, rungvisai, ioka, and some others would destroy bigger fighters. It wont even be close, too skilled, too fast, and would probably still have enough power to knock those guys out. But yall trippin just cuz someone is 6'0 175, hes all of a sudden a goat...

Christ. Boxing might be the only sport where people who claim to be knowledgeable say this type of stuff all the time.

Well, unfortunataly for all those grown men who are only 5 foot nothing and 100 and nothing pounds, there is no SHRINKING RAYGUN or ENLARGING RAYGUN where they can magically grow a foot and a half and add 100 pounds of muscle and power.

They are stuck slapping other 5 foot tall 100-and-nothing-pound guys around with pillows.

My advice to you is ATTEND fight cards. Go to a show where flyweights take the ring. And if you can even see them through the ropes from ringside, because their heads are lower than the top rope, and you're stuck trying to make out what's happening through the gaps in the ropes, be sure to find them aftward heading back to the dressing room and say hi.

They are the size of grade school girls.

Then go watch a couple of big heavyweights get in the ring and fight and be sure to meet up with them on the way back to their dressing rooms.

Ever see a real heavyweight champion of the world in person? If so, you wouldn't say such garbage.

The bigger fighters CAN ACTUALLY BEAT most humans on the planet. The litle guys can't. That's why people who don't even follow the sport tend to praise the larger fighters. Because you don't need to be a boxing afficionado to muster the common sense to say that beast over there would kill that tiny dude over there.

    This isn't science fiction.

I know Crawford beats Spence, Crawford knows he will beat Spence, and Spence knows Crawford will beat Spence, hence the reason for Spence being Donald Duck.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. he justly deserved all 50 victories; nothing was controversial.
Canelo objectively beat GGG both times.
Wilder is the worst heavyweight belt holder ever.

I like him but he's not as skilled those are facts. He hasn't beaten the quality of boxers that Porter has. He hasn't shown better skills. Who's his best win?

#1. People have trouble comprehending the meaning of "pound-for-pound".

#2. Lomachenko is the p4p best today.

I possibly fall foul of #1.

His resume isn't 'pure garbage', it's just not great. It's better than the vast majority of fighters at world level. Porter had the deepest resume at 147 before he retired.

I've got news for you pal, but Prograis is one of the most talented fighters in America. There's what? Four fighters more talented. Five at a push. Porter isn't one of them. And I question both your knowledge about boxing, and your general eyesight if you can watch Porter slather himself across Ugas and think that's more skilled than Prograis.

Who gives a **** what noise he'd make at welterweight? He isn't a welterweight. He's made plenty of noise at 140 - an excellent division - and went tooth and nail with an undisputed champion who's a top five P4P staple. Put him in with similar level of fighters as Porter, and he's never a lovable loser type. Furthermore, you've just named four elite fighters who are all bigger than him. Put Porter at SMW against the top four fighters there and see how well he does.

Tyson's achievement will stand the test of time. There will never be another 20-year-old HW champion. We can say the same about Wilfred Benitez (17-years old).

Back to Tyson: he was a bully in the truest sense of the word. It's hard to tally his greatness when he never snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Granted, he knocked out most of his opponents. However, he didn't fare as well when you watch the tapes of his defeats. With the exception of the Bite Fight, he took his beatings like a man.

I'd bet my last dollar that Prime Holyfield's self-belief and determination are too much for any version of Tyson to overcome, at any time.

He actually got lucky Cortez didn’t stop the first fight after the third knockdown after Marquez laid back down on the mat.

And while we're at it, Pac is lucky he was not disqualified or in the very least had points deducted for hitting JMM when he was down.
