Feels weird, hard to believe this fight was 2 years ago but at the same time it feels like an eternity watching it pre-covid.
I think this is Tyson Fury’s career match (for now). He showed the most there. More than in the fight with Klitschko, more than in other fights with Wilder and a shade more than in the fight with Walin.
Truly great night, quite arguably the best or most satisfying the sport has given me in my entire time following it, and that includes fights I attended.
Look at the fight. There was nothing special Fury was doing. Wilder is so limited that he couldn't see it. All Fury was doing was throw left jab jab jab followed by overhand right.
Beautiful video. The night where all Joshua fans' digestive systems succumbed to gravity. Fury remains undefeated, and officially collects the only beld in world boxing that had evaded him, yet again displaying bravery and versatility in style, in Wilder's home country.
Grossly overrated win. I was informed by the brilliant intellectual Marcus Flores that in this fight, Fury was slower than 39.5 year old, 13 months inactive Pulev, a worse inside fighter than AJ and a lighter puncher than Ali, with a "below average" chin. I believe him.
Well, if Marcus Flores said it. He chops and changes all of the time, tripping up all over himself. Pulev, whose best wins are probably Hughie Fury and Dereck Chisora, is European level at best. Joshua is so skilled at inside fighting that he was made a fool of by Andy Rice Pudding Jr, being dropped all over the place. Unable to do anything when the fat Mexican got up close and started flailing away. Joshua was a sitting duck. Ali and the rest are ridiculously overrated in the grand scheme of things. Ali was quite feather fisted but the forum don't want to hear that. The forum also believes Joe Frazier would beat Fury. He wouldn't even beat Hughie Fury.
