Miguel Cotto Vs Shane Mosley - Brilliant boxing matching

Yeah, I think his PED usage wasn’t done right, he focused too much on lifting. But yeah, after 2002, I never really thought Mosley was that good. An out of the blue performance against Margarito (who had lost his secret weapons) didn’t bring his prime back. You even saw it in the Mayweather fight, he couldn’t pull the trigger. 2000/2001 Shane lands those shots he finishes the job.

 

If I'm not mistaken Shane came to a gym owned by a person I know and benched pressed over 300lbs for multiple reps.
Don't remember if he was a welterweight or jr.middleweight but it was one of those weight classes.
I remember the person that owned the gym talking to some power lifters about it and all of them basically saying he was on something to be able to do that.

 

This was one of those fights where I feel like neither fighter really lost. It had a good ebb and flow to it.

Tremendous win! I've been around both fighters and Shane is tiny compared to Tony. But damn did Mosley land the coup de grace! Margarito was even smiling after that pummeling. I think that's the only time I've seen hit the deck.
