Leaving aside who you think would win the fight, on paper, which contender holds the biggest stylistic advantage over Ali? That basically everything he did would make it uniquely awkward for Ali?

Well, it'd be a pressure fighter or a very well timed counter puncher, you could say Mike Tyson, or Lennox Lewis.

Overall, I'd probably say a good shout is Usyk, slick southpaw with great counter punching abilities.

Doesn't necessarily mean any of these fighters BEAT Ali, they are all debatable.

By virtue of it being contender, you have to dismiss the Usyks, Tysons, Lewises, Bowes, Klits, Joshuas and Holyfields - they're all world champions/titlists.

I don't know - someone like a Tua gets made to look extremely slow and sluggish but there's always the potential for him to catch Ali with the hook.

Something that would be interesting to see is him Vs HW Roy Jones, David Haye or Herbie Hide - not backing them per se, just how would each fight play out for obvious speed reasons.

Byrd? Povetkin? Not that I think they would win, they might do ok though. It wouldn't be a crude guy with power, that's for sure.

I count non-lineal champs as contenders.

Johnny Nelson. I think it would be a mess of a fight and leave everyone disgusted at the end of the night.

Just because of the general Ingle-y weirdness of his style making for an awkward fight with Ali's similarly peculiar one?

Cross arm defense, plus great jab, plus nearly beating Holmes?
