Looking forward to this. Hopefully there'll be a cracking atmosphere and both men can use it in their performance. I know some think this fight is a waste of time and a distraction from bigger things for Taylor but I think Catterall is a good fighter and this will be tighter than some think.

Just crossed the border. Told the missus she’s driving the rest of the way as I can’t be arsed. Food and a few drinks early evening in Glasgow then into boxing.

Taylor is levels above catterall by some way too! He will start to turn the screw mid rounds and will stop him. Jack is game and in the form of his life but his defence is poor and leaves himself wide open for the counter

Just put down £100 on Catterall for the win at 9/1. I'm sure he is going to cause the upset.

Why? It's not like being a southpaw will be advantageous to him. It certainly didn't help the far heavier handed much better fighter Prograis all that much.

Josh stop Catterall via TKO rounds 8-10 after.

Catterall will be very cagey but it will only work for so long. I think there is a clear gulf between them, also I just don't think Jack is strong enough or has the power to keep Josh off him for for the duration and once he starts to tire a bit round 6 onwards I think it will get very tough for him.

I actually dreamt that Catterall knocked josh Taylor spark out with a flukey looping left.

I'm not a betting man, and certainly not clairvoyant either. So doubt there's much behind it :D

Can't believe Ebonie bleeding Jones is so high up on the card.

Hope Donovan doesn't get beaten too badly (I assume he's not winning this)

Don't see it happening but I hope McFarlane gets absolutely poleaxed.

It's still probably more reliable than a David Haye prediction.

I don’t think anyone can be backing Catterall on anything other than a hunch. Fact is we’ve seen nothing of him at this level. Yes he may show that he’s just not been properly tested and this will bring the best out of him but the cold hard facts right now seem to me that Taylor is going to be way too much for him.

To be clear I really like Jack, so it’s no dig at him but Taylor is one of the top P4P guys in the world and 99% of fighters never have to come up against that. Those that do usually end up seeing there are levels.

Trouble is you're right, there's not much behind that looping left...............:)

Catterall looks a good, natural ,boxer, but as others have said he hasn't had much in the way of high level competition, and Taylor has a will of iron and a mean mentality
