Canelo is about to fight Bivol. What is Spence and Crawford's excuse for not daring to be great?

I guess I go against conventional wisdom then - though I will confess to a bias for heavy-handed skillful brawlers who go for it over coasting cutie technicians which is what I'd argue Bivol has been post-Smith Jr. - but I would submit that Beterbiev's win over Oleksandr Gvozdyk is the single best win in the light heavy division as it stands, and if he beats Smith Jr (who I would consider to be Bivol's best scalp, even over an aging but-still-good Pascal) and holds three of the four belts, then I don't see even a sliver of an argument for Bivol being #1.

The age argument I get, but I would say all the more reason this should be the next fight if Canelo and Beterbiev both win (which I think happens, btw) rather than GGG. Undisputed in second weight-class, going up against a three-belt champion who despite his age established himself as the best light heavyweight. I realize it's almost a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" but he'll be damned more for waiting even longer or worse, not facing Beterbiev at all.

For all my issues with Canelo, anyone who thinks Spence or Crawford belong anywhere near the same stratosphere as the Ginger King in a lbs.4.lbs conversation just needs to get kicked in the crotch repeatedly until they throw up their own nutsack.

Good question. Both are overpaid for fighting cherry picks and if they fight each other will want even more money. Problem is they cant sell enough PPV to justify the purse they will request.

Those fighters are better than anyone Crawford has fought. The only exception would be Mikey Garcia who is a natural LW

Yes, I would say P4P Callum Smith would probably beat porter. If Ugas schooled Porter, what makes you think Smith wouldn't. Porter is very overrated

Yes... Saunders, Jacobs, Smith, and Plant are better than Porter. If Ugas and Danny (arguably) schooled Porter, picture what the above guys would do if Porter was a natural MW. Porter has become very overrated

Look at them trying to overrate porter, who was into his 30's when he fought both, and was never an A level fighter. He lost every single time he stepped up. Didn't BROOK beat him when obama was still in office? LMAO.

he gave up huge size and reach advantages to smith and plant. BJS was a skilled contender who everyone said would be a stylistic nightmare for Canelo. Jacobs is huge athletic and arguably gave GGG the hardest fight of his career so I find each of those impressive to some extent in their own right. Even if you disagree the simple fact that he ran through all of them in a consecutive fights in a short span of time is impressive to me. After seeing Taylor lose the way he did this weekend it should be obvious to anyone that beating top contenders fight after fight is no easy task.

Brook was a very good fighter at the time, as was Porter
