This content is protected Does this mean big Mick no longer can do shows for them? Also thought Wasserman had an agreement with Boxer/Sky?
Looks like Mick is out. Wasserman deal I would imagine is for everyone but Eubank. Boxxer/Sky had no deal just said they would work with them whilst they had no stable. Be interested what the budget is as Wassermans stable is actually almost as solid as Boxxers
UK based they have Linus Udofia Josh Kelly Harlem Eubank Nathan Gorman Chris Eubank jr Rest of the world Mairis Briedis Filip Hrgovic Abase Barous Denis Radovan Christina Hammer
If Mick is out it's poor from Channel 5 and a mistake imo. He puts on the best cards £ for £. If I was Mick and it's true I would just become a manager of fighters, as he is loyal and passionate about them, is great at matchmaking and spotting talent.
Same. Why bust his nut trying to put on shows. He'd make a great manager - fighters best interests at heart and knows his stuff more than anyone.
i heard so much about loyalty from a certain heavyweight when mick was using his cash trying to push him then its all bout a liar and some one who is as driven as the pure snow see fwank remortgaging his house yo clear ya name and get ya cousin a platform nah me neither
From the press release- “Wasserman Boxing have announced today a broadcast deal with Channel 5 in the UK. The multi-event deal on the free-to-air channel has been described as a ‘major move’ by Kalle Sauerland, head of global boxing for Wasserman. “This is a major move that is going to revolutionise free-to-air boxing in the UK.” Channel 5 also broadcast shows promoted by Hennessy Sports. And with Wasserman now on their network it makes them a leading player in the UK boxing market.” This deal is not exclusive therefore and Mick looks to be keeping his dates on Channel 5.
No disrespect to Mick, I’ve enjoyed some great fights in the last couple of years on 5 but he’s basically putting on MTK level shows and they are being given free to IFL. He’s nowhere near putting on a world title fight and any terrestrial broadcaster wants better than Sam Eddington fighting for an intercontinental belt….forever.
