Is Wilder a better win than Whyte or vice versa?

Old Ortiz is the best he beat. The other two are bums. Doesn't that say something? Wilder is very over valued, I hesitate to use the word overrated.

The Wilder win is better. Former 5 year reigning undefeated champion with 10 title defenses. H2H Wilder would obliterate Whyte in 1-3 Rounds also. Whyte is a top-level gatekeeper.

 

Wilder is the better win - it's close and debatable however I would suggest the Wilder is the stronger win on his resume.

Wilder was the undefeated WBC champion added to that the manner in which Fury went off the rails and the well noted comeback and overall trilogy.

Whyte has some solid wins no doubt however Fury is now more established in his return and Whyte's style is all wrong. I expect Whyte to get hammered here. His blip to an ageing Povetkin doesn't help in this scenario - albeit he did avenge in clinical fashion.

Wilder ranks higher in terms of some mythical H2H victory - but the best win is of course against Wlad.

Wilder is better but Whyte actually put himself out there and found his limits while Wilder feasted on paydays. I respect loudmouth Whyte more than Wilder.

 

Whyte is the better win as he has the more credible resume.

Wilder was 40 and 0 without fighting anyone. The only time he stepped up against an Old past it ortiz he got soundly outboxed.

Wilder was a fraud so there's not much credit that can be given for beating him whilst whyte is a genuine top 5 fighter on merit not in make believe land.

I know fury is the heavy favourite, but I think whyte had a great chance. Fury is no longer the slick boxer that beat klitschko he's tried to reinvent himself as this bully of a fighter that all of a sudden is a knock out artist. Fact is he still doesn't hit very hard and his wins over Wilder have him blown out of all proportion, last time he fought a decent HW in wallin he struggled. If he wants to try a slug fest with whyte he may come unstuck, he has the stamina advantage but whyte hits harder and has the strength to wrestle unlike Wilder.

 

Whyte is a better boxer than Wilder, but it doesn't matter Wilder still ices him if they fought. Inside 5 as well.

Ortiz on the canvas on both occasions. It shocks me that people still can't grasp the fact that Wilder is a **** boxer, but also probably the most unorthodox/awkward fighter in the division with a lights out right hand.

 

Other way round. If Wilder can't ice bums like Molina or Ortiz in a couple of rounds then he ain't finding Whytes chin before Whyte lands a left hook on his

Based on "title defenses" and perceived ability, Wilder.

I am in the minority, but I go with Whyte.

 

Wilder is the bigger win. Wilder is arguably the greatest one-dimensional heavyweight champ of all time. He made a very successful career out of that nuclear right hand, and even though his resume is padded, he's still a dangerous fighter. Whyte is above average and probably has a better grasp of the fundamentals, but he's not really made much of a name for himself, nor does he have that knockout power that wilder has. He's also never held any of the major belts, and he got knocked out cold by a 40 year old Covidkin a year ago which definitely hurt his reputation. Sure, he's deserves a shot at the title, but for all intents and purposes this is likelier a farewell fight for Whyte than it is for Fury.
