Last fight you watched?

Someone made a post about cotto mosley so I decided to rewatch that the other night. Between 2000-2010 was my golden Era of boxing. I miss it and am having a hard time becoming fans of the new crop of fighters.

I followed KT’s career reasonably closely. I know the story so I’m a bit ambivalent re him now. He’s claimed being close to Tim but Natasha says not so - and IF KT did neglect Tim and Nikita somewhat - it’s a slap in the face to now advertise his current investment in his new kids and his not wanting to “miss out” as he did with Tim and Nik - who obviously missed out themselves.

Kinda like how John Lennon finally found it in himself to indulge in a son, his second son, Sean, but didn’t so much give his first son Julian the same time when he was a kid. It’s one thing to be neglected but it’s got to smart worse when a later sibling receives all the attention that was not given to the first -

So he’s making good coin in Russia - eh?, trading on his celebrity over there I guess. The irony is that Australia presented a lot more positives than Russia did when KT first moved there.

I’ve always likened KT’s fight and TKO loss to Vince Phillips to that of Louis’ KO loss to Schmeling. A simple yet ultimately “fatal” susceptibility to the right hand - like Max, Vince paid his dues during the fight but hung tough and kept firing the right hands over and over…..a devastating, potentially career ending loss but again, like Louis, KT got back on his bike and went from strength to strength thereafter.

Just shoot’n’ the breeze…..

 

Yep, that’s a hard one to figure.

 

Just watched Snipes vs Berbick. I scored for 5-1-3 for Snipes tho. Pretty close fight
