Jack Catterall future

Garry Antuanne Russell is looking like the baddest man on the planet at the moment, the version of Taylor that fought Catterall would get battered by him, Taylor really has to get back on it and get back to his brilliant best.

 

If any of the following were in the ring with Taylor that night, here is how it would have went;


Jose Zepeda - win by UD.
Jose Ramirez - probably a very close fight. Ramirez is not very good tbh. Either way.
Regis Progias - possibly stopped him if not dominant UD.
Subriel Matias - would have legit knocked him out cold into the shadow realm. A "normal" Taylor would also get KO'd.
Gary Antuanne Russell - possibly put a 12 round beating on him but we still don't know how good GAR really is.

About Subriel Matias, I pick him to very soon be the number 1 at this division. That is, if the other fighters do not continue to duck him and pretend he doesn't exist. Progais went at him on SM and then went cold as soon as Matias entertained him for a fight. None of the guys want it with him at 140. He is a straight savage.

 

Very very boring.

 

Catterall is a horrible fighter. Had points took off his whole career for holding and hitting whilst down.

Tyrone McKenna fight he should have been disqualified. Had a point took off for hitting McKenna whilst down.

Held and hit Taylor while he was down.

He fought on the undercard of a Terry Flanagan fight - had one point deducted for hitting the back of his opponents head and one deducted for throwing him to the floor.

 

That’s fair but lets be clear that Jack should have won a clear decision. Clearly a UD for Zepeda and Prograis in Glasgow isn’t a guarantee.

Then again they’re too busy posting constant stuff about international wonen’s day today so it’s understandable.

 

Obviously think it's a bit daft referring it to the police but at the same time I think we should be pleased with the amount of anger this has caused. Us boxing fans see this way too much and we rightly kick off about it but it's just ignored by the BBBofC or it's investigated....by the BBBofC which in itself is a conflict of interests. They have to be held accountable or at the very least openly embarrassed by open discussion like news stories like this. It needs people like this MP to speak up about it.

I watched the fight again last night. I gave Taylor 4 rounds. He got timed over and over again and was ineffective when he tried to force the fight. Even if you're massively over generous and give him 5 rounds he still lost with the KD. To get them scores was corruption imo.

It's about time Smith,Foster,Ian John Lewis,Terry O' Connor & the rest of that corrupt shower of shite was investigated as this crap has been going on for years.There needs to be a complete clear out of the BBBofC & get rid of the old boys club & younger,more competent,honest people brought in.
