I love tis notion that bodywork is the key to beat Fury

He doesn't even feel body shots. He is built like a bear.

What do you think happens if Mike can slip inside on Tyson Fury? He gets his back broken from a clinch and smothered to death just like Joe Frazier would.

It's smaller men who can outwork him from the outside and mid range effectively that are Tyson Fury's kryptonite. All the men who were having success in that arena all faded and died.

The test tube baby of Holyfield and Usyk will be the creature to beat Fury. As long as it comes out of test tube and not a womb.

    Frustratingly incomplete.

    But he isn't retiring.

    Lacking, to a point.

He has good wins, no doubt about that, but no longevity and key fights against fighters considered in the top echelons of the division aren't on his ledger yet.

There are so many examples of intriguing match ups that could have been made but weren't. If Tyson retires now some of the conversation about him falls directly into this category about how he would have done against his opposition - not how he did.

He would have a better resume than Vitali and people tend to rate him pretty high. A victory over AJ or Usyk if he comes back and a Joe Joyce level opponent would really help his cause. He doesn't need to fight everybody though, I have no problem assuming he beats the Andy Ruiz's/Joe Parker's of the world.

That's because of a gift decision to fat John McDermott. Besides his career isn't over a lot of guys were legitimately undefeated in 32 fights. Not to mention quality of opposition.

Yeah, none of that really changes any of what I said though.

I can tell from your tone that you wouldn't reward it for him particularly  But history would.

History will note he beat an old Wlad ( 39 ) year and the fraud called Wilder. Who else did he fight? Go ahead deflect if your must and applaud bad decisions to make a point.:nonono Besides he needs to beat Whyte and he might lose that fight. Not that Whyte is very good, as he selected him.

The legend of The Gypsy King will be talked about 100 years from now - the most sensational comeback ever seen in a boxing ring

    interesting point.
I think though there would still be credence to not rating him as highly as past greats if he were to retire bc his worth wasn't proven over and over again against elites. A modern great yeah but to become elite in history would require dominance over Usyk and Joshua.......just my 2 cents.

Always enjoyed watching him fight but I would be of the opnion, that he is massively overrated and kinda just fell into his legacy of greatness. He beat an ageing long time champ in a terrible fight went missing for years, then beat a massive hype job in Wilder, all of a sudden, he's the best thing since slice bread! Sorry, not for me.

No way, if it was the eighties and he didn’t have the blue print to beat mike Tyson that is available now, he would be Donny long 2.
