    Thoughts?

We were expecting a big shift, and instead we've got Angel "brilliant, AJ!" Fernandez.

I guess if it ain't broke don't fix it. And if it is broke then still don't fix it

I guess he’s changing things without really changing things. I won’t expect a drastically different AJ however let’s see what Hernandez can bring.

    I’m non plussed with it.

I know he's been in his camp for awhile but can anyone give me any background on Fernández? Who's he trained?

AJ's interviews from the last few days seem incredibly strange. He was shadow boxing for this entire interview and he just doesn't seem all there right now.

Usyk is better than you, AJ.

That's what I was just thinking. Considering Usyk's circumstances now this fight may never happen. It's all in limbo.

I can see him keeping busy fighting someone like Robert Helenius

This is what I think may happen. It’ll give further time for whatever adaptations they wish to make gel and they can try and implement stuff in a real fight rather than just under gym conditions.

It's what he needs to make the Usyk rematch interesting.

Edit: that and state of the art PEDs

He seems ok here actually. Engages with the interview instead of staring off into the distance and speaking in riddles. Maybe he just doesn't like Kugan.

Seemed up for fighting Joyce. Would be a great fight but a crazy risk to take right now.

Yeah I think that sounds like a decent fight.

Shouldn't be pay per view though.

He’s come through learning the ropes with Jorge Rubio. Been working in the UK with the likes of Isaac Chamberlain and Ohara Davies. More recently he’s got a brand new gym facility in Loughborough and been training Richard Riakporhe and Fraser Clarke. He’s well known to the Olympic guys and everyone that works with him think he’s a solid trainer with great methods and puts a lot of emphasis on movement. Has a lot of people thinking he may be the next big breakthrough coach over here and has been working with AJ since the Ruiz 2 fight.

I mentioned in a Prost earlier this week that Helenius has been contacted about a potential WBA interim title bout. He’s potentially going to be made next mandatory and interested to take a fight against AJ for big money rather than wait for Usyk.
