Hearns should have been DQ'd with that holding to be honest

That whole card was a terrific show. Controversial outcome with Hearns vs kinchen as well.

scored it for Tommy by two points. this showed how far down he'd come. Between his weight gains and weight drops, Roldan and Barkley, they took the life out of him

I loved this fight. Not longer after Barkley, so danger time for Tommy. But he held, and held, and won. Just.

Exciting fight, but Hearns didn't look well. He had no chin whatsoever. Probably hadn't recovered from the Barkley ko.

Yeah, yeah, I remember someone here saying that. That explains how he was able to take all those hits from Hearns without been stopped . Even though his face was getting busted up he couldnt feel the full impact of the punches, the cheat.

    Pffff…geez.
Was a good poster, always enjoyed his comments.

He would always post the year and channel whatever fight was talked about. It was his signature.
    Good man.
    RIP.
The older posters here were gold, some if them having been there live in the 40s and 50s to see the legends.
    Sadly they are dissapearing.

He was a character alright, I always sort of imagined him in jeans and a vest with a can of beer (that he'd down in one and then crush the empty on his head) and crackpipe on hand. Funny as hell and a proper 80s old school fan of the sport. Legend.

    1: Kinchen 10-9
    2: draw 20-19
    3: Kinchen 30-28
    4: Kinchen 40-36(Hearns kd)
    5: Kinchen 50-45
    6: Hearns 59-55
    7: Hearns 68-65
    8: Kinchen 78-74
    9: Kinchen 88-83
    10: Hearns 97-93
    11: Hearns 106-103
    12: Hearns 115-113
Imo,his fight was close and could go either way,but I think Kinchen had the higher chance of winning this no matter what,he landed the better counters and combinations, doubling up with an overhand or a straight left counter whenever Hearns jabs, even if he was a cheat here I'm sure he won this one.
