It’s blatantly obvious he hits extremely hard because let’s face it he can’t fight.
    Just imagine if he could.

In terms of power he is off the scale . He also genuinely likes beating people up and is nasty in the ring . Limited but very dangerous .

He clearly has serious power and has dropped everyone he's faced. Fury and Breazeale have some decent chins and they got dropped hard.

That shockwave is more a testament to how fat and sloppy Fury is in the body than anything IMO. If it was Joshua you'd not have seen anything close to it.

Yeah, he is a fragile fighter. That doesn't mean he wasnt a Great fighter in spite of his lack of toughness...he certainly wouldnt be the first one. You can wax lyrical about his accomplishments all you want, it doesn't change the fact that he looked as fragile as a senior Citizen in his last fight.

Its also hard to not sound disrespectful when critizicing the toughness of a pro fighter...but he's not Being compared to the average Joe.

It's inarguably ATG level. The only reason why I hesitate to put him on the top is his mediocre competition. I see him in the same tier with Foreman, Shavers, Liston and Baer in terms of power.

He's become a caricature in people's minds. Part of that is his whole persona and making some very strange mistakes in the ring, but I think too much credit is given to his right hand.

For instance pre-Fury compubox stats gave him the highest jab connect percentage among all active fighters (of course it's compubox and low volume is a big factor, but a lot of guys don't jab):

It was a decent weapon back when he used it, as was a surprise left hook reserved for the rarely reached later rounds.

The point is if he was exactly what people say he was then he would have taken a loss before Fury. Someone would have caught him.

And if he does have anything else at all going for him, then you have to wonder if the power is among the highest but not top 3 in my estimation. Some of those other great punchers were less obvious because they weren't so dedicated to KO1s or didn't have the uncommon consistency of Wilder.

For me, it's just ridiculous to even question his power.

The raw power he has in that right hand is undeniable... it's a nuclear bomb.

People mix Wilder's punching power with other attributes: faced champions, technique, week opponents, career, week legacy, poor skill, precision, chin, title defense, ... everything else but Wilder's Punching power.
It’s perfectly fine that boxing fans don’t like Wilder. He received as a gift the referee's decision between Fury vs Wilder 1. He had too weak opponents (and a gift against Fury 1) to be remembered by history as a champion who had multiple consecutive titles defended (10) by: Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Joe Frazier, Vitali Klitschko (9).
But that has nothing to do with Wilder's punching power.
Every, literally every opponent was on the floor. I don't know a single heavyweight champion who repeated the same thing. Wilder's punching power should not be questioned.

I didn't question his punching power i questioned the validity of Fury's mass of baby fat rippling as some sort of effective barometer of it. It's obvious Wilder has huge power even if it's exploits on top 5 contenders are thin.

In no universe would a glass jawed 40 year old fighter get off the floor to win a fight.
