One of my favorite fighters. Love how he switches between stances so fluidly. Once he switches to southpaw the fight is over one way or another. And gotta love the mean streak. I think he has potential to be great but the clock is ticking…..

No he simply doesn't have the resume to be considered among any of those names. He looks the real deal and I think he beats Spence if that fight ever happens but greatness is judged by what you accomplish and he lacks a signature win over a truly great fighter to be regarded among those names. Burns, Gamboa, Postal, Khan, Brook and Porter simply isn't going to cut it. Sure he has multiple titles in multiple divisions but in this era even Broner was a 3 weight world champion and being undisputed in a division devoid of any other real talent isn't as impressive as say beating a Leonard, Duran or even a De La Hoya.

Right now Crawford still has a lot to prove. He's in the same place right now as Calzaghe was before he beat Lacy and Kessler or Hopkins before he beat Tito or JMM drew with Pacquiao. You can be lauded by the pundits as the best in a division or even a P4P contender but until you actually back that up in the ring and beat someone that proves it, it's doesn't mean a great deal.

    Nah.

Guys like the above challenged themselves. Bud isn't bothered in that regard.

He’s one of the best, most-rounded fighters of this generation but we haven’t seen him in with enough top quality opponents to know if he truly great or not yet.

I think an argument can be made for the era of Mayweather, Pacquiao, Cotto, Williams, Margarito, Clottey, and Judah as well.

It was still a close fight in which many people thought pea won.

Good grief.....there's an OCEAN between the Duran group and Splenda Shane. And How is Floyd in that group but Oscar isn't? Slpenda himself isn't even CLOSE to Oscar's league in standings.

You mean, YOU don't know. Do you use your eyes, or are you just a resume over-analyzer??
TC is obviously somewhere in between the two. Closer to Shane only due to his lack of not notch comp, and the possibility that at his age, TC will start his decline. Not a good look at this point.

Crawford is like Floyd in the sense that he's obviously VERY talented, but doesn't have a win over a prime ATG.

For the most part, this ^

Very talented...but has not any chance to showcase that talent consistently against the top. For example, Andre Berto looked great against his level of comp back in the day.

After years of watching boxing and recognizing talents the only thing that matters at the end of the day is what you accomplish. Crawford could be better than Mosely, ODLH, Trinidad, but it doesn’t matter. Those guys fought the big fights so we know how good they are. Heck Forest, P. Williams, or Quartey could have probably beat them on any given night, but they didn’t so they aren’t going to be remembered like the first three. Crawford has to up his activity against big names if he wants the recognition and I am sure even more importantly the money.

He is very far from any sort of ATG.

He'd have to beat the winner of Ugas-Spence and win a title at 154 to even be in the discussion of ATG.
