Massive respect to both fighters, both showed huge heart throughout. Wood never stopped believing he could win and trying to win. ****ing unbelievable, brilliant fight from start to finish,. That's why we watch boxing! Their styles gelled perfectly. Would love to see a rematch.
Not just the fight of the year, one of the best fights I’ve ever seen. Had ****ing everything. What a Rocky-style performance from Leigh Wood and I’m praying that Michael Conlan is okay and recovering. Both true warriors.
Unbelievable. Think Wood is very lucky that knockdown was on the bell in the first otherwise that was getting waved off there and then. He was out of it. Massive credit to him to come back and win and in that fashion. Glad Mick is ok.
A wonderful fight. One of those fights you sit back half way through and say 'yes, this is why I love boxing, no other sport entertains me like this.' That was before the insane finish. Huge credit to both fighters. After an unimpressive start to his career, I felt it was finally all coming together for Conlan. That left body shot in the first followed by the disguised monster hook from down south was as beautiful and simple a shot you'll see and Wood didn't wake up for a few rounds after. Thought Conlan was winning going into the last few rounds but suddenly Wood was closing the gap while continuing to take big shots himself. Conlan needed the final round to make the result unanimous but he was clearly tired and began hooking with Wood - the worst thing he could do at that stage of the fight. The finish was straight out of Hollywood. I was up for Conlan but happy for Wood after such a battling performance. I think both fighters come away looking great from that fight and hopefully Conlan recovers well and we see a rematch. I think no matter how that last round went or who got the decision there was going ti be calls for a rematch. That's what you get after a barnstormer of a boxing match between two warriors. Well done gentlemen.
Only seen highlights and I'll watch full fight later but it looked to me like conlan couldn't miss with that left hand ? How did you all have it on cards? Like I say highlights looked like conlan was miles ahead
Rematch would be a lot of fun but hope they don’t push it too quickly. Both lads need time to recover after that, especially Mick

Yes, it was something special. Amazing fight. Suddenly you fall in love again with the sport of boxing and forget how corrupt the boxing world is.
Great fight. Conlan looked really good but got chinned at end. Rematch in the Summer at the City Ground? Definitely big interest in a rematch, I reckon they could definitely sell 25K tickets
