That fight with Khetag Pliev was a WAR! Lots of things about the Russian are damn shames...that he turned pro so late, was so focused on amateur wrestling into his thirties, and even after deciding to enter combat sports for a living he split his focus between pro boxing and MMA. Back in action this weekend, taking on Mexican glass cannon José German "Bom-Bom" García Montes in Ontario. 6-rounder at cruiser. Not sure this means he's shifting his focus away from another crack at Rivas necessarily - more just that bridger is a pretty thin field of competition so may as well stay busy at 200lbs until such time if & when the rematch comes to fruition.
