Now to make things simpler. Joe Frazier is given similar longevity unrealistic but fairer. So he maintains his FOTC form as long as Louis did his best days and slows down at a similar rate. I think Frazier does as well as Louis and Louis does better then Frazier. How about you?

Cool topic! I have to give it to Louis, though I think the majority of titular defenses Frazier couid handle. I think Louis would have UD'd Ali as well and knocked Ellis out earlier. Foreman would have been toast in 5 or 6 rounds though, and I don't see Ali winning against Louis in the 70s, period. 60s, sure.

Seems unfair to Louis, whose longevity was a major advantage. Frazier as he actually existed would burn out against Louis's lineup.

That said, I favor Fountain of Youth Frazier to do better in Louis's time than Louis would in Frazier's. Although Louis would probably stand a better chance against later Ali and Foreman than Actual Aging Frazier did.

That’s how I see it, without the fountain of youth Joe Frazier burns out too quickly and leaves too much in the ring every night to make it as far as Louis.

With less fodder and a murderers row line up of all Louis’s toughest fights maybe he could maintain FOTC super sayin form long enough to get out before Namek explodes and defeat evil emperor Marciano.

Louis would have had a lot more chance of getting a win against Foreman, and we are giving him two tots at it.

Louis's style might have been better suited to Ali than Frazier's was, but he still likely finds one win out of three fights.

When you get past that level of opposition, both are likely to be very consistent.

If we are still factoring in inexperience, that Frazier likely loses to men like Baer early on.

Mm. I think the Bonavena fights get forgotten a bit I’d put in terms of at least H2H Oscar is a superior fighter and every bit the puncher.

Louis would have blasted Foreman’s face off. His face would have come off.

Charles and Walcott would be obliterated. Schmeling would be beat.

I think with the opposition Frazier would face, his longevity would have been improved significantly.

Gotta think Smokin Joe has the edge.

With a realistically aging Frazier, he doesn't do anywhere near as well as Louis did. He'd easily burn out fighting six times in as many months, and then five years on from that having years out then coming back against the likes of Walcott and Charles. It just ain't happening.

Louis does better than Frazier does. He could potentially come close with Machen early on, but by the time he's fighting Ali and Foreman, he'd be in the swing of his prime and he'd beat them both. He definitely wouldn't be losing rematches to them.

Frazier does somewhat better than Louis does in Louis's time, beating Schmelling in their first match although after WW2 does worse. Frazier is basically a cruder Jack Dempsey with a worse right and would do well against the 30's - early 40's crop. Louis does better against Frazier's opponents and lasts considerably longer, doing well against a 70's Ali, and against Foreman is far more competitive, perhaps even winning.

Is this a joke it was made for me its obvious the 2nd joe he never would lose! And we wouldn't never know of Louis in 70s cause he never would make it out of amateurs

These comments of how 1st joe would do good is obviously just trolling

Joe's style just wasn't made for longevity was it? Hard to imagine Joe fighting 5 or 6 times a year
