Mate, why did Whyte and his lawyer sign the contract then? It's totally transparent him and his team have signed it and are now trying to renegotiate terms.
Whyte just needs to get in the ring and take his beating like a man now and not ***** out. If Whyte ducks both Wallin and Fury, he is an embaressment to the sport.
With zero context, yes he did turn down a title fight. With context, they couldn't agree terms. Joshua wanted to pursue his American dream fight against Miller; it was a charade to keep the fans on side by making a show of saving the Wembley date by offering the fight to Whyte. But, Joshua kept moving the goal posts in negotiations with Whyte until Whyte ultimately walked away realising this was all for show. Whyte started meeting with other promoters during the fall-out from this, as Hearn did what was best for Matchroom and Joshua (which was fair enough really). It was all pretty much aired out in public between Hearn and Whyte, but people persist with this idea that Whyte ducked a title fight. And this false narrative has pretty much stuck now, on here anyway.
This slimy lawyer doesn't know whose he's messing with. I'm surprised Frank didn't put a cut on him and tell him "when I throw a dog a bone, I don' wanna know how it tastes."
80/20 turned out not to be a joke when Whyte didn't promote at all and it still sold out in a couple of hours. Whyte's strategy was dependent on Warren needing to sell tickets and he doesn't because Fury does that on his own.
Genuinely not sure at this point, because it doesn't seem like anyone on team Whyte actually wants this fight. They seem incapable of fighting under a promotion that isn't ****ing Matchroom.
Lol, pretty sure there are two fighters on the poster... You think Fury would sell out Wembley based on fighting an unknown like Wallin or Schwartz again? Mate, you're having a laugh
Do you know if this lawyer was involved with Whyte's contracts with Matchroom? EDIT: I'm struggling to find Jeffrey Benz's name connected to Whyte in any way until the negotiations for the Fury fight but his bio hints that maybe Whyte recruited him following the Rivas fight and subsequent failed drugs test issue: 'many of his cases would be characterized as leading or high profile cases, particularly in doping-related matters' Benz lives in London, so it's possible this is how their paths crossed. https://www.lawinsport.com/item/jeffrey-benz-3 So yeah, your point stands - Matchroom seemingly didn't have problems with Whyte, and now he's appearing to be very hard to work with. Maybe Benz is the reason?
It's clear some of this is being driven by Whyte, you can't single the lawyer out as the reason this is happening. Whyte and his team keep saying he's been 'disrespected' but it all seems like vague statements and nothing concrete.
Who needs who?? Fury and AJ don’t need Whyte to make a decent purse... Whyte on the other hand... If Whyte fails to make it to the ring he is both delusional and stupid. Good luck mr. Shyte!
