Is Terry Norris putting an a$$ whipping on Leonard, AN ACT?

A more apt question is, why do YOU keep up YOUR act?

Floyd has the superior record. numbers don't lie.

LOL! Even Ray's ring record is padded. He may have gotten away with a credible draw with Hearns (or what was left of him) but between you and I we both know he was outpointed in the Hagler fight

I’ll never debate you again unless you actually give me something to debate.

    It’s boring.

It was boring a long time ago.

    Still no breakdowns.

Still no questions on how they’d have matched up stylistically.

Just the same tired, old, predictable act.

Ok, I never said hurting Hearns was an accomplishment, I said it wasn't luck.

Secondly, I never described it as "crypto-sleep" nor commented on his inactivity. He definitely wasn't living a fighter's lifestyle, which can only erode one's reflexes.

Tommy was no more past it than Sugar Ray was.

That's nonsense. Leonard changed up his whole style. Duran would have always had problems with Leonard on that night.

you never asked me for breakdowns. you simply said "dont you tire of this act"

but why the need for an act? and you never responded back

if you want specifics, I bring up floyd's record

    you bring up Ray's record

    is Ray's record superior to 50 - 0?

even here your man comes off second best b/c of his losses

while Floyd has never been beat

even the number of Ray's titles are inflated

He really doesnt own 5 titles. He is not a light heavyweight titlist

He is not a super middleweight titlist

or is he a middleweight titlist

He was only a two division titlist

Ray would lose to Floyd. How do I know? Norris set the blue print on how to decisively beat Leonard; with speed, defense and movement, and Floyd would to the best of his ability, carry out that plan

    - "everything Leonard does, Floyd did better"

His footwork is obviously better. More handspeed as well. Also better at fighting on the inside. Defense better

I'll have to disagree with you on that last point

Tommy had been flattened twice more since his first bout with Leonard

and on top of that, badly hurt in two other fights, looking worse and worse with each fight from late 1986 into 1987 where it was becoming more noticeable

His fans had o be horrified at the sight of him struggling with Kinchen, probably thinking "well that's it for HIS career' when all of a sudden, Ray comes calling, a new feeling of courage coming over him

Ray? He was not exactly in crypto sleep modeas described; a win over Hagler plus nine rounds tko over Lalonde in a farce that involved two titles at stake

Oh, so now it's a win against Hagler? Let's not forget that Tommy also had a redemptive performance against Virgil Hill and a very solid knockout victory against Roldan sandwiching that brief lean period. Many people award him the win over Leonard, anyway. So we're only really talking about a single flat outing against Kinchen and the loss to The Blade.

And for God's sake it's cryo-sleep. Stop saying "as described" when I never described it as crypto sleep.

I thought the draw with Hearns was fair. At best, Tommy won but narrowly but it's not a crime to say it was a draw. a lot of back and forth action

I prefer to call it "self induced inactivity"

I would say Leonard had faster hands and possibly better on the inside or was at least could be more of a slugger than Robinson.

Over all though I think Robinson is the superior fighter.

Disagree with footwork being better. Employed more side to side movement but Robinson's footwork was better when it came to throwing punches, that's why they talk about him knocking out guys going backwards. Robinson's footwork accounted for greater variety in his flurries and greater power.

Think Robinson was also better defensively. Yes he could be hit a bit because he was tall and was on the attack so much but could roll and slip better than Leonard. Their feet was the first line of defense for both but when Leonard lost his movement he really started getting hit and even had his chin up in the air. Leonard wasn't as well schooled as Robinson.
