Over at the scene it says they have agreed on weight. Eubank really is pathetic what a complete joke of a career. A guy in Eubank who has campaigned at 168 wants to fight a washed fighter who mainly campaigned at 147 I hope that Brook can somehow win and humiliate him but I don't like his chances.
I actually give Kell a chance in this fight. I'm guessing 160 for the weight and Kell will have more energy. Eubank is going to try to be RJJ like in his last fight and Kell is going to find openings for his right hand.
This is a very bad fight for Brook. He's almost completely SHOT at this stage and has no business going in with a much bigger and younger man. I don't rate Eubank at all but he's inherited his dad's chin and is always in great shape. There is virtually no route to a win for Brook. This could turn into a bad beat down for Kell towards the end and he could get hurt.
Yeah unfortunately this is the way I see it. Brook would've been better off fighting Benn at a catch weight IMO
definitely, Eubank is bad enough to not be able to take Kell out but inflict a sustained beating him for a few rounds The Benn fight would have been a much less risky way to bow out, without the risk of severe injury
Seems like Brooks career has seen him take fights that are huge uphill battles. Yes, he's scored big paydays but he could have had a better career in terms of winning a title and having multiple defenses etc instead of being a dude, who yes, did well, won a title but then went on a real up and down ride, mostly downs. I guess his options are fairly limited though plus he's almost done, needs high profile, big money fights.
Eubank should be ashamed. I get why Brook would take the fight, but Eubank calling him out and chasing that fight is completely ridiculous. I hope Brook drops some chocolate brownies on him and take him out early. Surprised he's not clamoring for a fight against RJJ...
Yep if Eubank really wants to fight an old guy he should be fighting GGG but we all know why he doesn't want that work.
Agree. I still get confused on who thought it would be a good idea going up two divisions to fight a killer in GGG. I know Hearn was trying to get in with Canelo at that point but that was when the wheel came off. Hearn definately screwed Brook over on that for sure.
He tried to one up Khan [fighting Canelo] by fighting GGG. We can say it didn't turn out great for either Khan and Brook.
I'm aware of Khan fighting Canelo beforehand. It's still a bad move considering Brook was still considered elite at Welter. Khan clearly was passed his best taking that payday after chasing a Mayweather and Pac for years and getting shut out.
Well, I know this has been done to death in other threads but if Brook doesn't take the GGG fight, I am convinced he would have beaten Spence.
