Irish-American presence in boxing if they kept getting marginalized forever?

Imagine a dystopian world where, unlike some other immigrant groups, Irish-Americans never get integrated into American society at all.

Long after the waves of Italian, Eastern European, Hispanic, and Asian immigration gain various degrees of acceptance in America -- after the Civil Rights movement, after the Obergefell decision, even after Biden's presidency -- Irish Americans are still treated basically as they were in the 1880s.

Unlike every other group in America, the constitutional Equal Protection clause doesn't legally apply Irish-Americans. Many businesses openly and explicitly won't hire them because of their Irishness. They are uniquely excluded from various social institutions. Kennedy is never elected. Well into the 21st century, late night comedy focuses on insulting Irish-American stereotypes as the safest type of humor.

Irish-Americans are kept at the 1880s level of marginalization for 140+ years. They remain one of the poorest ethnic groups in America for the entirety of this period. To add further injury to insult, special provisions in most states' welfare laws pay out only a fraction of their regular allotment to Irish-American welfare recipients. As of 2022, Irish-Americans are largely confined to inner city enclaves exclusively occupied by other Irish-Americans. Such political power as they possess remains in the hands of a few unimportant, largely unhelpful political machines in larger cities.

    Now, then:

How would Irish-Americans perform in boxing throughout this period?

So...now that we've driven off all but the tiny minority who appreciate both our sense of humor and my overly pedantic wall of text, do you think Irish-Americans would have continued producing lots of great fighters if they'd remained a poor underclass throughout the 20th and 21st centuries?

While Irish Americans have produced the overwhelming glut of great Irish fighters, there have been no rumblings from the states since Cooney’s flash in the pan paddy-whackery, and its the small pool of Ulstermen, and some English guys of Irish extraction who have recently carried the can.

A sure sign of the social advancement of the Irish diaspora in American society.
In the UK, there are large numbers of youngsters from the Middle East and Eastern Europe taking up and developing well in combat sports. The Irish presence is largely among the coaches now in their fifties or sixties. There are noticeably fewer Afro Carribeans in the gyms now too although the popularity of Football, (Soccer), may account for that.

Well there seems to be some amount of travelers (or gypsys, what ever there called now) coming through the English system, and there as Irish as you can get.
