Tony Harrison is a moderate underdog against Sergio Garcia

I’m real tempted to put a large bet on Harrison. He has chin issues but I think he’s got Garcia covered almost everywhere. Is there value on Harrison?

Garcia brings volume, but he isn't a puncher, so Harrison should be fine in that respect.

Garcia is going to box his ears off, although there is a chance they'll gift Harrison a win, or maybe a draw, like they did against Perrella, who won their match walking away. Although I wouldn't write off a stoppage win from Garcia.

That's debatable. When Sergio steps up in class, he sits down on his shots a little more. He hurt Fundora and Cheeseman, both of whom have decent chins, far more than he did most of the bummy stay busy opponents he's feasted on in Spain.

Tony Harrison is insufferable. It's almost impossible for me to root for Charlo, but I genuinely couldn't decide who to root for when they fought.

    Total glass chin and fraud.

Was Cheeseman not hurt to the body more than anything? Haven't seen the bout since the night it was fought, so I can't vouch for that, just a vague recollection (I did save a HD copy to my external hard drive, because it was a good enough fight to keep, that much I remember clearly). Fundora I simply missed and never did get caught up with.

Harrison is somewhat vulnerable around the whiskers, hence the italicization in the previous post, but I'd still expect him to be able to take what Garcia has and ride out any offensive storms from the Spaniard.

How? He's a capable boxer with some vulnerability who won a portion of the world title before losing that portion a year later in a competitive rematch with one successful defence in-between. Where exactly is the fraudulence? I see no bloated fanfare, claims to grandeur, et cetera.

I think this thread has been touched by your familiar schtick of spewing ill-considered baloney to try and come off assertive and tough.

Nice to see you saved that fight, it was a banger as all Cheeseman fights tend to be. Garcia was absolutely relentless with his output and exhibited great reflexes and movement, easily his best performance to date.

May revisit it early tomorrow to test my recall of the fight (specifically re. Ted being hurt).

Given his inactivity and a completely half-arsed performance against Perrella I tend to think Harrison’s heart just isn’t in it anymore

He walked on water for one night. It's one of those wonderful things in boxing.

It must be a real mind**** though. For less than an hour you were everything you ever dreamed you could be, then you turn back into a domestic level pumpkin and can't find that magic again even though you have video proof you can do it.

I’ll need to see this fight to see if Tony Harrison is done I just think he was disinterested in his fight against Perrella and it showed. Me personally i don’t think this fight will be close and Harrison will probably TKO Garcia..
