With fighters such as Loma, Kambosos, Hayney, Lopez and even fighters like Ryan Garcia, the light weight division is filled with potential great match ups and they all seem to be fighting each other. So is this the best weight class right now?
What’s exciting about a division of guys who not fighting? Tank and Ryan scared of everybody Loma didn’t want to fight Haney and Haney had to sign a crappy deal just to get any type of good fight. These guys been in the same division for years it’s more embarrassing than anything
Your average European in good boxing shape would come into the ring at like 140-147 after weight dehydrating like boxers do.
If anything this division shows you the negative side of modern boxing. These guys running from eachother.
Nothing is even happening, haney just runs around, tanklet just robbed a c level fighter, teofimo moved up, bumachenko is taunting instead of koing commey, king ryan is barely returning from his exile, etc. lw is probably the best tho endless punching and 0 skill is not exciting.
I remember this thought from 2 years ago, it was a heady time! Then they didn't fight each other and we're left hoping they'll meet at 140. At least they get in the ring and settle who's best.
