Conor would still get absolutely perked, if this is happening at 170, Conor gassed against Nate Diaz in the 2nd round. Khamzat is absolutely huge for 170 and can easily fight at 185 while still weight cutting. Mismatch.
The best thing McGregor can do is fight a few cans in a farewell tour back in Ireland and 1 in the states, he's cannon fodder at the top level.
I'd rather see Conor kill himself attempting to move back down to featherweight to fight Volkanovski than to play around at welterweight. They would have to scrape his remains off the canvas if he were ever matched up with Chimaev.
That's true. Both fights would end horrifically for Conor, but he has a better track record with midgets; for what it's worth.

Shut up casual. Cowboy is a) no welterweight b) shot to pieces and c) quit in that fight (he even admitted it). And Chimaev didn't look bad in the Burns fight. He was just too excited and too aggressive. Learning experience. Chimaev would destroy Conor in the first round.
He has the power to destroy Conor in the first but Conor has far more boxing skill, Chimaev`s stand up was awful v Burns, Conor`s head movement is far better.
Conor literally has no head movement these days. he gets gassed way too quick and has no movement or defence. Dustin was able to hit him at ease in the 2nd fight towards end of round 1. Then round 2 Conor was like a flat footed punching bag with no defence.
Dustin has more boxing skill than Chimaev, who knows how to set up KO`s well but is a bit of a plodder, walks in straight lines, no angles,very predictable.
So what? McGregor has better boxing skills than Chimaev but newsflash this isnt a boxing match its an MMA fight. Chimaev takes him down and submits him in less than a round.
