    As it says.
He got the win over George.
And close on the cards with Ali and Norton.
But the best names thru history?

Well I’m Ali’s biggest fan, but I thought Young beat him.
So does Ali count? Although a faded one?

Controversial opinion but possibly Joe Louis over the 12 round distance, over 15 rounds probably not though.

I mean, he beat George Foreman, bad. I’d say he could steal a fight from a lazier Holyfield, steer him clear of the Frazier variety of fighter though. Him vs an off night Holmes would be- painful, to watch that it is but he might win. Mike Spinks? I’m not sure. Maybe Moorer or Old Foreman???

The Riddick Bowe picks Intresting, cos I've thought myself that Young could maybe pull off an upset there.

Controversial answer: I believe that Jimmy Young was capable...just as capable as not...of winning or at least deserving to win after getting robbed against most any figure of history. IMHO,Young would have fared the worst vs a tireless, high volume fighter...like Frazier or Marciano...

Young would have had very little problem vs either Moorer, Bowe or an old Foreman.

Yep. Taking the best version of JY, he's definitely beating Moorer.
As I've mentioned, he could definitely pull off a Bowe win. Especially post Holyfield 1 onward Bowe!
And yes, I don't have a problem seeing him beat old George either.

Frazier, the solid, pre Foreman version beats Young imo. Maybe by late ko.
Marciano would have all types of trouble with Jimmy, he'd have to be careful cos he could find himself behind on the cards too.

Young would make Marciano look silly, and be far ahead, until he’s stopped around 11. I just can’t see him keeping up with the pace for an extended period of time.

Holmes would have smacked the crap out of him. Jimmy would have beaten Weaver, Coetzee, Patterson (not sure on that one), Ingo, maybe Bowe, possibly early early Lewis.

Depends on how much space between the ropes there is for him to duck through.

Young Satterfield and Braddock are the most inconsistent fighters at the top level I’ve ever seen…all three could beat a champion then lose to a scrub. Just odd…very rare to be that inconsistent. I’m never sure where to place all three on the all time list
