Spences high motor and workrate overwhlemed Ugas, who had absolutely no plan. Even when he had Spence in a bit if trouble in round 6 he displayed no interest in trying to get him out of there.

I have favored Spence over Crawford but Spence looked a bit simple tonight, so although I still think he is the best WW, a fight with Bud will be closer than I have previously thought. Great performance for The Truth.

What’s that? Crawford is a precision guy. Do you mean try to walk Spence down? I’m not sure that’ll work. Catching him with a good precise counter? I can see that a a lot more.

No he dipped on the spot and took a second, there was no pivoting. There’s a reason why Ugas’ corner and the commentators were talking about Spence being hurt to the body, it wasn’t just everybody’s imagination.

I’m not even sure what your point is. I said Ugas could be a spoiler but that Spence is the favorite. What exactly is your problem?

Yes watched it in peace. Great fight like I thought it would be with Spence creating the necessary separation in class but Ugas is one tough guy.

I feel you, you make a lot of sense. However Spence still hasn't been dropped tho.

I dont agree though - can Bud take bodyshots and handle that kind of workrate?

I just had a thought, take a step back and mull this over. We might have witnessed Josesito Lopez, Francisco Vargas, Yuriorkis Gamboa and Yordenis Ugas, all retired on the same card.

Fun fight, seems like Spence was pissed about the mouthpiece incident and turned the heat up after that. Crawford is gonna be a hell of a fight....
