    The Briggs from the Lewis fight has a decent chance I think. That's the best I've seen him look.

    Was watching that the other night and that's what came to mind.
    He had Lennox flying across the ring at least once and did pretty well.
    If he can get Shavers early like that, then he's got a decent shot of an early ko.
    Maybe a long shot but Shavers could be caught as we know early.

    Not with out it's risks obviously, not with Earnie s power

    I really don't rate Briggs that highly honestly, but this is a fight that could go so many different ways. Both fighters could finish each other early, Briggs could come out fast and catch Shavers cold. Or Briggs could walk onto something early and get stopped, i actually think the further this fight goes the best it is for Shavers, even though Shavers stamina wasn't that good either. But Briggs's stamina was actually woeful, and if this goes past 3 rounds then i'd favour Shavers pretty much everytime.

    I wouldn't bet a cent on this one. Imagine these two huffing and puffing if it somehow got to the late rounds.

    Whoever landed a big punch first would probably win. Briggs (because of length and movement) could probably stay away from Shavers better than Shavers could stay away from Briggs, but a big punch from either of them could end the fight. Briggs asthma problem affected his confidence and seemed to make him coast at times, Shavers wasn't known for stamina, but knocked out Roy Williams in the last round. Like you, I wouldn't bet a penny on this one.

    Man I fancy Briggs in this one. He's got a rocky chin that can take a whalloping to break down, Shavers has the bigger punch p4p but I don't think he's going to be able to take Brigg's heavy artillery in return. And Briggs is 30lb heavier, which always helps if you are going toe to toe.

    Yeah he was also exhausted aswell, he went all out to finish Wilson early, then had nothing left.

    i give Briggs, one of the fastest starters i have seen, an excellent chance of scoring a quick KO here
