Not sure if it was just to keep Whyte and his team guessing but it was noticeable that he was in the southpaw stance in the open workout.

 

I think fury issues a sustained beating on him after 3 rounds of leaning on him.

If Fury turns up in good shape, he should have too much.

Whyte's not terrible by any means though and deserves to be in there.

This will be Fury's toughest test since Wlad, so he'll need to turn up in good shape (better than in Wilder III) and taking his opponent seriously - if he does, he'll win barring the typical heavyweight caveat (these guys are big and hit hard, shock knockouts happen)... Whyte can certainly punch hard, quite possibly harder than Wilder - sometimes that's all it takes.

Honestly as long as it's a good fight I'm not fussed who wins, but I'd expect Fury to be sensible and put the time and focus into being ready for this... But this is Fury, and he can surprise us sometimes...

 

I put 50€ on Whyte by stoppage at +900. I've said many things about Dillian over the years, none of them good.

The more I think about this I can only see one way that Whyte wins and that’s via left hook knockout when Fury switches off, it’s his only chance for me.

Whyte definitely can’t out box Fury. Whilst he has long arms, he doesn’t box behind a jab well at all and often just prods with it before winging in a power shot. When he’s brawling, the vast majority of his shots are too wide and wild (almost as much so as Wilder’s - Whyte’s overhand just looks like a duplicate with not as much speed or accuracy) and often he comes over the top which just won’t work with Fury who’s taller and won’t give him the leverage.

The only way, in my opinion, Whyte wins is if he’s going wild on Fury and catches him with a short left hook mid combination, similar to the left hook that Wilder caught Fury with when he was already on his way down in the first fight. I still think this is unlikely as Fury tucks his right hand in well and is good at avoiding left hooks, it’s his low left hand that leaves him open to the right.

I think Whyte will keep pushing and keep trying but I see him being completely exhausted after 8 rounds of swinging and being peppered, and either being stopped on his feet or pulled on his stool. Dillian will have done very well to last the distance I think.

Really looking forward to this fight. Fury seems nervous which is good news because he respects the threat in front of him. So I expect a bit more self preservation now. Less risk and more ring IQ.

Whyte should probably take a leaf out of Chisora's book with the playing possum and inviting the pressure on the off chance Fury opens up. As the old cliche goes, this is heavyweight boxing, anything can happen and we can't rule out cuts either. Fury has plenty of scar tissue around those eyes which could easily open up on the night. If that happens it could get very interesting.

 

From Sugar Hill's comments at the presser Fury will fight at a distance and try to emulate his style in the Klitschko fight. I am not sure if he still has the legs for that.
I think Whyte does have a chance - more than just a chance
Fury will want to keep him at distance. Close in Whyte can really target the body and do significant damage imho
Whyte is not the most technical boxer but he has huge power especially with hooks to the body

I think now the fights here Fury is fully switched on. Weight wise I think he's looking a stone maybe a bit less lighter than for Wilder and although he's not as agile as he was I still think he's got move movement in him than Whyte.

Honestly no. I see Whyte given everything he has and getting beaten by UD or between rounds 10-12 by KO.
